*skip to 18:18 to see video of the car running *skip to 24:53 for Dyno video so after my last video the car ran good for about 2 weeks. long story short, the tune that my last shop did set my motor up for detonation so cylinder #1 dropped a significant amount of compression. the other 3 did as well but not to such a degree. it took me around 7-8 months to gather enough money to go with forged internals rather than OEM. i was on the verge of purchasing all the parts when i came across what i thought was too good to be true. someone in north carolina had a nice 1996 nissan 240se shell and fully built block for sale. he was asking right around what it would of cost me to rebuild my motor and considering i was getting a entire car and many aftermarket parts with it, it was a no-brainer for me... Delving deeper into the world of sport compact racing, Group 1 Doorslammer pilot Ben Bray's new Nissan Altima certainly looks the goods. With only one test session prior to Jamboree the guys were able to take out the final of the Pro Compact class with a cracking 7.10/196mph pass from the SR20 power plant. Upgrades include a billet engine block, VVL cylinder head, Garrett GT47 turbo, MoTeC M800 computer, Siemens injectors, Racepack V500 data acquisition and a Lenco gearbox. Nissan Silvia S14 200sx SR20DET dyno run Link g4 Plug-in ECU 195kw on 15.1psi
Factory Standard motor SR20DET first time on Dyno fully stock tuned with link g4 plug and play on BP98 195kw on 15.1psi. Standard ECU manage to juice out 166kw on 18psi. Link helped lower Boost and increase power by 29kw with no other bits changed but stock ecu to link. Cons was the wastegate wasnt holding Boost consistently or could have hit 200kw on factory motor.
