SR20DET dyno tuning 480hp street and 630hp drag engines 2004
This video originally appeared as a bonus track on Hard Tuned Imports 3. It shows Dyno tuning of a serious street car with 480hp at the engine from an internally standard S13 black top engine, then engine Dyno tuning of a fully built S15 race engine with an HKS T51R Kai turbo making 630hp. Back in 2004 this was about as much power as anyone had made from an SR20 engine. Of course now with VE heads allowing much higher rpm and E85 fuel allowing much more Boost the best tuners are seeing more than 1000hp, but it's interesting to see where things started out.

After a 6 week rebuild of the car, just been doing a lot of work getting the engine running sweet. New N1 cams were installed to the SR20VE Engine, Car is now ready for it's remap! (For details on the project, see NeoVVL.com)

Popped down to see UKSC's very own 'Liam D' last week, managed to get some footage of the car running. Still got a slight missfire, new distributor is on order, not the best of footage but thought id upload anyways! Enjoy!

SR20VET, Stock P11 cams, forged bottom end, supertech valve springs, full race manifold, custom "freedy intake", ID 1000 injectors, apex'i Intercooler, GT3071R twin scroll, S15 6speed transmission.
Made 385whp, 305 wtq, 18psi,~ 7200rpm in 5th gear
Stopped the Dyno because of a blown BB on the turbo. Here's the video :

redtop S13 SR20DET port & polish head
i started a simple Port & Polish job on a S13 redtop SR20DET head..
we will be reusing the stock valves..
thus extra care was taken NOT to touch the Valve seats..
ALL material removal was done with small bits of sand paper by Hand..
intake runners were only smoothed over a little
Combustion chamber was Polished to BLING
