Matt is handed the keys to the Evolution Motorsport "Mayhem" 997 turbo and offered a single pull down the runway. This is what it's like to make that pull with zero practice.

BMW X6M: Ridiculous fast, and... ridiculous.
The Smoking Tire caps off our Ultimate BMW Road Trip with a private day at
BMW's test track in Spartanburg, SC. Since we've already tested the M3 and
1M, we take the X6M Crossover on the track to see if there is something
it's actually useful for. We are surprised.
Pantera: Restore or Pro-Tour
The Smoking Tire takes to the canyons with TWO beautiful Detomaso
Pantera's. One is a highly original car with a big-dollar concours
restoration, the other is a completely customized SEMA build by the
legendary Ringbrothers. Which way would you have it?
What happened when this Evo chased a Porsche?
The Smoking Tire heads out to Willow Springs International Raceway to test
a friend's Mitsubishi Evo X, tuned by Road Race Engineering. Is the Evo
quick enough to keep up with a Porsche 996 Cup Car? We'll see.....
Air Suspension - Can You Really Have it All?
In the past I've thought of air suspension as a modification reserved for
trucks, low riders, and show cars. But what about sports cars? Is it
possible to have the look you want at a show, the handling you want at the
limit, and the practicality of clearing speed bumps and driveways? The guys
from Accuair Suspensions say there is, so we put their Audi S4 to the test.

Last week Miller Motorcars had an event unveiling the new Rolls Royce
Phantom Series 2 and my friend came up in his gorgeous matte white Bugatti
Veyron. The car is still
wrapped in stickers because we just did the Gold Rush Rally from Los
Angeles to Miami! This is the same car my friend and I took delivery of
late last year driving the Maybach to San Diego late at night but it was
red and black with brown interior before. This is a quick video from the
car at the event but the acceleration at the end was incredible!!

The World's Fastest Lotus? - /TUNED
Frank Profera has spent six years making his Lotus go faster, stop shorter, and corner harder.
Though it only has to move around 2,150 lbs, Frank's Lotus makes 680 wheel
horsepower with a
twin-charged 1.8L engine; giving it a better power-to-weight ratio than
Mario Andretti's Formula One Lotus. It's an ongoing project that may never
be finished, because of Frank's never-ending obsession with speed. We had
to take it for a ride.

The Singer 911: All You Ever Wanted to Know - /CHRIS HARRIS ON CARS
To some people, mainly Porsche people, this is the most desirable car you
could own. Its creators are a bunch of zany, brilliant Porsche-files who
have invested their lives in re-imagining the classic Porsche 911 shape for
the year 2013. We tour the factory, speak to the team and drive it on road

2014 Porsche 911 Turbo S: The Most Capable Grand Tourer? Ignition Ep. 104
On this episode of Ignition, Jonny Lieberman has a go with perhaps the most
capable grand touring car on the market, the new Porsche 911 turbo S. Combining 560 horsepower, upwards of 553
lb-ft of torque and several cows' worth of leather. Embarking on a cross
continental trip in the dead of winter, Jonny begins in frosty Georgia and
heads all the way back to Motor Trend's headquarters in Southern
California. Along the way he traverses ten States, meets up with friends
like Randy Pobst and John Hennessey, examines why Americans are so found of
road trips and just generally enjoys the hell out of one of the quickest
production cars on earth, the mighty 911 turbo S.
Ignition appears every other Monday on the Motor Trend youtube channel.
