On this episode of Ignition, Carlos Lago gets behind the wheel of the new
2015 Alfa Romeo 4C to see if Italy’s reintroduction into the entry level
sports car market is worth all that it’s hyped up to be. With it’s
dynamic handling, lively turbo
soundtrack, and it’s expertly crafted F1-style carbon fiber tub, the 4C
is essentially a $55,000 supercar on paper, but how will it perform on the
mountain roads and in our usual gamut of tests? Stay tuned to find out.

Alfa Romeo Brera 3.2 V6, Revving, Accelerating, Sound!
I had the opportunity to make a video of the (in my opinion) best looking
hatchback there is. This really is a lovely car and the 3.2 V6 engine is a
perfect engine for this great italian car. The owner was nice enough to
really let me hear the sound of the car. Enjoy the revving, accelerating
and the fly-by's!

Marciano 268a - anello mancante tra Giulia TZ2 e 33 Stradale - Davide Cironi drive experience
Esemplare unico: la prima ed unica prova su strada al mondo in esclusiva.
Motore Alfa Romeo V8 Montreal anteriore, carrozzeria in alluminio lavorato
a mano, 230 cv sul peso di una Caterham. Cos'è questa meraviglia rossa?
Marciano 268a is something unique. How it sounds, how it goes.
It wasn't built by Alfa, not by Ferrari or Maserati, it was entirely
handmade by an italian artisan called Mr Marciano, in Tuscany.
The man thought that Alfa Romeo did something too fast in the 60's, with
the 33 Stradale after the TZ2, and he would have liked to see
a missing link with front engine and V8. A car never born. So he found a
Montreal engine and started to build his own supercar.
18 years after he finished the 268a (2.6 cc V8 anteriore) with 250 LM
windscreen, Jaguar E type differential, Ferrari headlights, GTAm wheels.
During his work he lent that Montreal engine to a friend who raced it into
an off-road competition with a 4x4, and it was tuned to 230 hp.
So when the 2.6 V8 came back in the 268a it was much powerful and converted
to carburettors ( 4 - 40 weber). All the rest has been build
from Mr Marciano in his workshop, in Ponsacco (Pisa, Tuscany) and result is
stunning, perfect. In my video report you can see and listen to it,
but I must warn you, it's intoxicating and live experience is even worst.
