2013 BMW M5 Test Drive & Luxury Sports Car Video Review
http://www.autobytel.com/bmw/m5/2013/ The BMW M5 is an amazing vehicle that has been completely redesigned for the 2013 model year. The iconic M5 has been around since the late 1980's and the vehicle shown here represents the 5th generation of the super saloon car. Drivers in the slow lane will take note of the sporty luxury car's quad Exhaust tips poking out the rear or M-Sport badge on the trunk that lets you know this is no ordinary BMW 5 Series. The 2013 BMW M5 has a base price of $89,900.
Under the hood of the M5 is where the revolutionary design and updated technology really come into play. The engine in the last generation was a naturally aspirated V-10. BMW went down in size and displacement from a 5.0 liter V-10 to a 4.4 liter V-8 engine. But performance has been drastically increased thanks to the addition of twin turbochargers. Power output now stands at 560 horsepower and 500 lb-ft. of torque. The 2 transmission options are a 6-Speed manual or a 7-Speed M Double-Clutch w/Drivelogic. Fuel economy is best with the manual transmission at 15 MPG in the city and 22 MPG on the highway.
Rolling stock consists of standard 19-inch wheels but you can opt for the optional 20-inch wheels that add an extra $1300 to the price of the car. Sitting behind the amazing wheels are M-Compound brakes with their cross drilled rotor design. Ceramic brakes commonly seen in track cars will be an option.
A lot of evolution has gone into the interior of the 2013 BMW M5. There are a couple of great new options including aluminum trim and Merino Leather. On the steering wheel are customizable M-Buttons which allow the driver to program the car from over 40 different options. These combinations affect the steering, dampening, transmission, and of course the engine. Another trick feature is the downshift rev-match system which matches engine speed while down shifting into a lower speed.
The 2013 BMW M5 is a sign of the evolution of the luxury sports car. The M5 is in a class of its own. Where else can you find a sedan under $100k that can match the performance and luxury this automobile exudes?

2012 Porsche Panamera Test Drive & Luxury Sports Car Video Review
http://www.autobytel.com/porsche/panamera/2012/ The 2012 Porsche Panamera is an interesting combination of automotive delicacies. The Panamera is one part sports car, one part luxury car, one part hatchback, and one part sedan. Over the past decade, Porsche has created a few unique vehicles to target a broad range of car buyers. The Boxster is aimed at the entry level sports car enthusiast while the Cayenne is aimed at those looking for a quick SUV. But the Panamera offers 911 performance with a usable back seat. The 2012 Porsche Panamera can range from $75,200 for the base model all the way to $173,200 for the top of the line turbo S model.
The vehicle tested in this video is the base model Panamera 4 (AWD). It is powered by a lightweight and direct injected 3.6 liter V-6 engine that makes 300 horsepower and 295 lb-ft. of torque. The transmission is the famous PDK twin-cutch 7-speed unit that shifts lighting quick. Fuel economy on the 2012 Porsche Panamera is 18 MPG in the city and 26 MPG on the highway thanks in part to an auto start/stop system which shuts down the engine while the car is sitting idle. Sixty MPH flies by in 5.8 seconds and the Panamera 4 has a top speed of 159 MPH. The Panamera handles incredibly well thanks to the Porsche Traction Management system. The AWD monitors driving situations and can adjust power as need. The Panamera is equipped with Anti-Slip Regulation and Automatic Brake Differential.
Porsche Active Suspension Management is optional on the Panamera 4. This system provides electronic dampening at all 4 corners of the car thus reducing body roll and increasing handling. The system will also tighten up the setting based on the selection of modes: Comfort, Sport, and Sport Plus. The rims are 18-inch alloys wrapped in sticky rubber. The 2012 Porsche Panamera comes with huge 360 mm brakes up front and 330 mm brakes out back. The calipers are six-piston units. Safety wise besides all the electronic computer controlled systems, the Panamera 4 features a full compliment of 2-stage airbags for both the front and rear passengers.
With the rear seats up the Panamera has a luggage compartment with over 15 cubic feet of storage space. But with he seats down the hatchback design allows for over 44 cubic feet of cargo room which is a large amount for this segment. And believe it or not the 2012 Porsche Panamera can tow up to 4850 lbs. The Panamera is a very efficient and powerful sports car that offers a high level of luxury and sophistication while being able to transport 4 passengers in style.

2012 Porsche 911 Carrera S Test Drive & Sports Car Video Review
http://www.autobytel.com/porsche/911/2012/ The Porsche 911 recently got a thorough refresh for the 2012 model year. This is the 7th generation of 911 to hit the American car market. Since the 1960's Porsche has been known to produce some of the fastest sports cars the world over. But in recent years the Porsche brand as combined high end luxury with their 911 sports car. There are literally 18 different models of the Porsche 911 for the 2012 model year with the base price Carrera costing $79,000 and the top of the line turbo S with the PDK transmission costing $172,100. But the model reviewed here costs about $105,000.
The 2012 Porsche 911 Carrera S is powered by a 3.8 liter 6-cylinder engine that produces 400 horsepower and 325 lb-ft. of torque. There are 2 different transmission choices available; the first is a 7-speed manual gearbox that features a long ration 7th gear to help aid in fuel economy, and the second transmission is a 7-speed PDK is a double-clutch gearbox that can change gears within milliseconds. Fuel economy is 22 MPG in the city and 26 MPG on the highway. The 2012 Porsche 911 Carrera has some great fuel saving technologies. First with the PDK transmission, the 911 has what is called coating mode which essentially drops the RPMs to less than 1k so that the car uses less fuel. There is a start-stop system which shuts the engine off while stopped. This technology is commonly found on hybrid vehicles.
For this new refresh Porsche made many styling changes. But you can rest easy know the same basic body style that has remained over the past couple of decades is still quite evident. This 7th generation Porsche 911 Carrera is a bit wider with the wheel base getting stretched by 4 inches. With those new dimensions, the 2012 Porsche 911 now has a much better ride. At the rear of the car are newly designed taillights featuring LED lights.
As mentioned earlier, the new direction Porsche is taking is to integrate the best luxury amenities and materials as possible into their sports cars. The 911 is no exception as it benefits from great 18-way adjustable seats, an Alcantara headliner, as well as premium materials covering most surfaces in the cabin. Safety wise the Porsche 911 has a handful of front and side impact airbags that feature a two-stage impact system. The bags partially inflate in minor accidents and fully inflate for serious accidents thereby minimizing discomfort for the passengers in slower fender benders.
The 2012 Porsche 911 Carrera S is a luxurious sports car that can accelerate from 0-60 MPH in the low 4-seconds range. The 911 has all the creature comforts and technological gadgets you could ever want. And to top it all off this is one great looking sports car.

Koenigsegg Agera R vs BMW M6 (English subtitles)
Swedish Auto Motor Sport - Koenigsegg Agera R review (Googletranslate)
Koenigsegg Agera R (Swedish hyper-car) and BMW M6 (German Sports-car)
http://www.automotorsport.se/
http://www.koenigsegg.com/models/agera-r/
Info:
The Koenigsegg Agera R is a mid-engined sports car made by Swedish car manufacturer Koenigsegg as of 2011.
The Agera R can accelerate from 0--100 km/h (60 mph) in 2.9 seconds and a theoretical top speed of approximately 420 km/h (260 mph), although this has not been officially verified.
But engineers at Koenigsegg say that with special tyres the car can accelerate to 440 km/h (272.8 mph).
On September 2 during test sessions in Ängelholm the Agera R broke six world land speed records for a production car, including 0--300 km/h (0--186.4 mph) in 14.53 seconds, surpassing the previous record of 14.6 seconds set by the Bugatti Veyron. The Guinness Book of Records has confirmed these results, and all data was measured and collected by a third party with the officially accepted Racelogic VBox performance recorder.
2013 BMW M6 Gran Coupe [HD]
The powertrain technology under the skin of the BMW M6 Gran Coupe guarantees the performance characteristics for which M Automobiles are renowned. The V8 engine with M TwinPower turbo technology produces 412 kW/560 hp. Its technical wizardry includes a pair of twin-scroll turbochargers, a cross-bank Exhaust manifold, High Precision Direct Petrol Injection, VALVETRONIC variable valve timing and Double-Vanos continuously variable camshaft control. The 4,395 cc unit keeps peak torque of 680 Newton metres (502 lb-ft) on tap between 1,500 and 5,750 rpm, while maximum output is developed between 6,000 and 7,000 rpm. The engine revs to a maximum of 7,200 rpm. The BMW M6 Gran Coupe sprints from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 4.2 seconds on the way to an electronically governed top speed of 250 km/h/155 mph (305 km/h/189 mph if the optional M Driver's Package is specified). Average fuel consumption in the EU test cycle stands at 9.9 litres per 100 kilometres (28.5 mpg imp) and CO2 emissions are 232 grams per kilometre.
Taking care of power transfer is a seven-speed M Double Clutch Transmission with Drivelogic. The transmission's electronic management system ensures the right gear is selected for optimum traction. It also offers the driver a Launch Control function for maximum acceleration, Low Speed Assistance for extra comfort and the Auto Start-Stop function to enhance efficiency.
Under particularly dynamic acceleration out of corners, as well as in tricky road and weather conditions, the Active M Differential at the rear axle distributes the engine's power between the individual wheels to maximum traction-enhancing effect. Its electronically controlled multi-disc limited-slip differential works hand-in-hand with the DSC (Dynamic Stability Control) system and splits drive between the right and left rear wheels quickly and precisely according to the situation at hand.
