Dukes of Hazzard style car jump
Whitsett NC. This 1970 Buick Skylark was found in the woods after property
was purchased. I decided to jump it after getting it running since it's,
well, a four door ugly Buick. Wanted to recreate a Dukes of Hazzard style
jump, so my girls and I painted it with latex semi gloss interior paint as
close to the acme orange on the General Lee. We called this car Uncle Slam.
The jump took place on a hot as hell afternoon on July 19th, 2008. I hit
the ramp at about 65 miles per hour and went a total of 74' What a blast! I
could have used a few hundred more pounds of junk in the trunk though, as
it nosed over pretty hard. We had an "in car" camera and a camera mounted
on the trunk and another mounted on the lower left side. If you look close,
you can see the side camera liberate from the car and sail through the air.
Unfortunately the video from the two other cameras got corrupted or
something. Oh well, guess I'll have to do a sequel to get it right. Thanks

1972 Buick Skylark with a Hi-Compression Buick 350-4
I've had this car since October 8th 2010, I'm a senior in High School and
it is my first car, my dad payed for half of it and I payed for the other
half. I pay for the performance goodies that go into it and the occasional
parts that break too. I love driving this old monster even though premium
gas prices are outrageous but the rumble and roar of that massive V8 are
well worth it. I take pride in this car and my dad and I do most of the
work on it ourselves, it's somewhat of a father-son project. We've done
nothing but make this car a heck of a lot better than it was when we got
it. In the great words of GS Club of America, going fast with class, that's
what these Buicks do.
Stock HP: 175hp (for 1972 Buick 350-4 8.5:1 compression)
Rear-wheel HP: 226hp @ 4326 RPM (should be a little higher with the Hyfire
and Mallory coil)
Rear-wheel Tourqe: 307.8 lb-ft @ 3372 RPM (should also be a little higher)
Net HP: approx. 260hp
Compression: 9.5:1 (not sure, but definitely higher than stock because
without prem fuel I get spark knock with the correct fuel to air mixture)
Rear-end gears: 2.73:1 Open Differential (plan on getting a Limited Slip
Transmission: turbohydramatic 350 (with
a shift kit for fun :D)

In stock form, the 1955 Buick Special could best be described as a "nice"
car. It's not drop dead gorgeous like a 1959 Impala, nor does it have the
panache of say a 1956 Chrysler 300. You see the '55 Buick Special was a
working mans car. It had room enough for the whole family, a decent
power-plant thanks to its 264 cubic inch V8, and style that was, well...
above average. Harry Fisher or "Uncle Harry" as most people know him, saw
the old Buick a bit differently though. He knew that with a few little
touches (like a 502 cubic inch big-block, modern suspension, and a new set
of wheels) that this old Buick had the potential to become one of the
baddest hot-rods around.
1969 Buick Skylark 400 V8 Ram Air GS Trim
I thought you might like a look at this very nice 1969 Buick Skylark. I
believe this is a Skylark that has had the ram air hood and GS Trim added,
but I'm not sure. Either way, it's a great looking car. The paint is
slick, the black vinyl interior looks like new, and it's riding on a nice
set of aftermarket rims. It also features factory A/C that still blows
cold. It's definitely a nice car for the money. I hope you find it

1966 Buick Convertible Barn Find Rescue, Part 1
This is the story of a '66 Buick Special convertible that had been
abandoned in Arizona in 1978 by the family of Rick Pewe, editor of 4-Wheel
& Off-Road magazine. In 2011, the guys from HOT ROD Magazine, in
conjunction with Rick, spent four days bringing the car back from the dead
with plans to drive it home from Phoenix to Los Angeles. This is part 1,
with the hacking fun the guys had rescuing the car. Look for part two,
loaded with road-trip hilarity. The story is printed in the September 2011
issue of HOT ROD Magazine.
1971 GS 455, Stage 1 with F1C Procharger
Rich's 71 GS after replacing the D1 procharger with a bigger F1C. Some fine
tuning to be done yet, and then off to the track.
The car was mid 11s on 17" drag radials before.
Candy Red 1969 Buick Skylark Vert on 26" Forgiatos - 1080p HD
Don't see too many of these being done! A 68 or 69 Buick Skylark
Convertible on 26" Forgiatos. AND another car coming from Naptown! Indiana
brought a nice fleet. But a Candy Red Skylark on Forgiato Veccio 26's! Red
top to match, and cream leather interior. Had it sitting proper on 26's! At
Forgiato Fest 2014 in Miami, FL.
