2012 Chevy Camaro ZL1 Drive & Review: The Fastest Daily Driver Ever
( http://www.TFLcar.com ) The 2012 Camaro ZL1 is the fastest and
most powerful production Camaro ever built by Chevrolet.
But you probably already knew that. What you might not know is that this
almost 600 horsepower car is really a
pussy cat to drive. In fact if it got better gas mileage you could easily
use it as a daily commuter. It is that easy and relaxed to drive even
though under the hood is the supercharged beating heart out of the Cadillac
CTS-V. In this review we get to know the fastest production Camaro that GM has ever built by
spending a week with it and using it as a daily driver.

Lingenfelter Camaro ZL1 Tops 200 MPH! - Hot Rod Unlimited Episode 7
On this episode of HOT ROD Unlimited, HOT ROD Editor In Chief David
Freiburger drives the Lingenfelter Performance Engineering Camaro ZL1 to 202 mph, making it
the first 2012 ZL1 to exceed 200 mph. This very same ZL1 in the exact same
configuration (save for wheels and tires and the rollcage) was also the
first to run 10s in the quarter mile.
The ZL1 Camaros were
first delivered to the public in early April, making
580 hp from their supercharged, 6.2L, LSA engines. Within days of delivery,
Lingenfelter had its ZL1 making 720 hp at 6,500 rpm and 650 lb-ft at 4,650
rpm, both measured at the rear tires. The performance parts are all from
Lingenfelter: CNC-ported cylinder heads, a GT9 camshaft, a ported
Supercharger cover, overdrive blower
pulleys, a cold-air kit, 63-lb/hr fuel
injectors, a voltage Booster for the
fuel pump, a 160-degree thermostat, and
tuning. The entire package, installed, is $11,495. Everything else on this
manual-trans car is stock. The performance testing was done with 109-octane
VP fuel and 15 psi Boost.
On April 18, 2012, the Lingenfelter ZL1 ran 10.79 at 134.36 mph at Muncie
Dragway in Indiana. That was on drag wheels and tires.
On April 30, 2012, the car was delivered to the Continental Tire Proving
Grounds in Uvalde, Texas. Shod with Continental Extreme Contact tires on
the original ZL1 wheels, the Camaro was tested on the
8-1/2-mile oval. The
three-lane surface is like a road rather than a race track, the turns are
not banked, and there are a few elevation changes. During the top-speed
Freiburger pulled 0.4 to 0.5 g at 190-plus mph in the sweeping turns, then
held it down for nearly 40 seconds on the pull from 190 to 202.67 mph
lifting to avoid cresting a small hill at corner entry at 200-plus mph. The
car had not reached terminal velocity. Conditions included a
ambient temperatures in the 90s, and a density altitude of 3,280 feet. The
aerodynamically stock except for some tape over the front
brake-duct openings in an attempt to channel more air through the stock
air-to-water Intercooler, as
the water was reaching temps in the 250s during
prolonged periods of WOT, leading to hot inlet air and reduced power.
Naturally, the comments here will lead to the upcoming ¹13 Ford Mustang
GT500, with claims of 200 mph capability in bone stock trim. A stock Camaro
ZL1 will run 185 mph. Will the GT500 be faster than the Lingenfelter ZL1?
Until someone shows up at the same track on the same day with both cars and
a single driver, no one will know. Meanwhile, we present the first ZL1 to
eclipse the double century mark. See more at Lingenfelter.com and

2013 Camaro ZL1 Exhaust System with Billy Boat FUSION / Bi-Modal - Best Look, Sound & FEEL
http://www.bbExhaust.com/car/Camaro-zl1/ You can also call
Yes, they have arrived: the B&B 2013 Camaro ZL1 FUSION Exhaust system. We took the time to perfect our
prototype, and can confidently bring this growling beast to market!
The FEEL your foot notices with a Billy Boat ZL1 Exhaust is unmistakable. We'd copyright it if we
could :-). Compare it to stock--compare it to any other system.
We even included real, undoctored Dyno results to show you that
our system falls within the recommended guidelines for the ZL1's stock
engine. Anything higher than 7-8hp and you could very well be kissing your
prized new possession's stability goodbye.
The Chevy ZL1 is, on its own, NOT lacking power. However, equipped with a
Billy Boat performance Exhaust system,
it's now got an asphalt-eating appetite. Also, reports of 1-3mpg after
driving around with this system are not uncommon.
We use only our highest-quality, premium grade of T-304 shimmering(!)
stainless steel for your Camaro ZL1 Exhaust system.
And yes, we can equip any Camaro ZL1 as well. Just give us
a call, we can pretty much do anything you're looking for. Mention you saw
it on YouTube for an additional 15% OFF.
"Fusion" is defined as: "a merging of diverse, distinct, or separate
elements into a unified whole, resulting in the release of enormous
quantities of energy when certain elements unite".
Our expertise in Fusion / bi-modal Exhausts is unrivaled. Just Google "fusion Exhaust" or "bi-modal Exhaust" or anything along those lines.
In fact, our Fusion systems are so renowned in the Corvette community, that
they appear in the search results for "fusion Exhaust" ahead of a Ford Fusion Exhaust from Ford's very website.
Ha! Another win for Chevy ;-)
Call to Order or with any questions, and ask for our ZL1 expert, Mike Boat:

ZL1Registry.com drawing for Camaro ZL1 Corsa Exhaust
Corsa Exhaust installed on a stock Camaro ZL1 with no
headers; catback only. This system is a full 3" compared to stock 2.5".
It has a slightly deeper tone over stock and very smooth and quiet while
cruising. Super high quality parts made the install fast and un-eventful.
No need for dual mode with Corsa because of the RSC technology producing a
great sound with zero drone. Many thanks to ZL1Registry.com for their
giveaways. This was a good one!!! ...and all I had to do was register my
ZL1 on the site.
