Gardner Douglas T70 on the Nordschleife Nurburgring.
One very fast lap in a Gardner Douglas T70. Car is a real british jewel,
handmade by www.gdcars.com. This one has a modified Corvette Z06 engine,
with about 720 hp for 920 kilos of dry weight. Such a shame we had just
finished to running in the engine and left the rpm limiter at 6500 rpm, you
can here the car hitting the limiter on the main straight at about 300
kms/h. Driver is the notorious "deaddwarf" Dario Margutti, from

The Caterham 620R packs wide-track front suspension, a supercharged
2.0-litre Ford Duratec motor producing 311bhp and 219lb ft driving the back
wheels through a straight-cut, sequential six-speed gearbox and
limited-slip differential. It is a few ancillaries away from being a race
car, and not much this side of a hypercar such as the Bugatti Veyron could keep pace with it. It
is extreme in a way only drivers of a BAC Mono or Ariel Atom could

Caterham R500 vs Ferrari 458 Challenge pt2
Few laps in my R500D following a Ferrari 458 Challenge at Donnington.
Set up the Vbox wrong so overlay wasn't working. Happily pulling 1.4-5g
regularly with spikes on 1.7 at bottom of Craners curves.

2013 Caterham R620 Development Car; one lap of the Nürburgring Nordschleife
Caterham were here for the recent F1 GP at the Nürburgring. They brought
with them the engine and transmission test mule for the new R620 supercar.
This little green machine started life as 'just' an R500, before it got the
new SaDev sequential gearbox and the supercharged R620 motor. I was only
allowed one lap and I've got no prior experience with a flat-shifting
sequential, so I didn't go too crazy, but it was still quite quick...
Pagani Zonda R - Nurburgring lap
Pagani - Pirelli Tyre - Assuring new technologies and materials are fit for
production means also putting the vehicle's components under severe
stresses, exceeding those normally encountered in every day road driving.
The Nürburgring Nordschleife is the most demanding track in the world, for
man and machine, an ordeal that each Pagani has to pass, only one of many
in the entire development phase.
The Zonda R serves as the ultimate test bench, a car able to reach
acceleration figures and speeds that are not possible with a road car.
This is further underlined by a laptime of 6:47,5 min for the 20,832 km

Sabine at the ring, tuned Porsche GT2 vs Caterham CSR260
Hmmmmm, the one circuit where a fettled GT2 with a sequential would smash a
high powered (yet windscreened !) caterham and Sabine manages to draw !
Walter Röhrl has managed 7.42 here in a 415ps GT3 and i can't see a stock
CSR260 being any quicker than that .... Staged TV nonsense, but fun to
