http://www.RCSparks.com - the WETTER, the BETTER! What started as a TANK TRAP - quickly was converted into a SLOPPY WET MESS for all of the RC ADDiCTS Online! The Rude Boyz RC Club pull off another awesome event at this 2012 RC gathering. This was the second event in the 10th Scale Tough Truck Competition this year - and for a Truck to make it though this course - it has to be Rugged, Tough, a 4X4, and Completely WATER PROOF. For those poor Drivers that didn't get their rigs sealed up - or worse yet - that get dirt in their motors.. May suffer the consequence of a DNF "Did Not Finish". A DNF is scored against a Driver while competing. Im not too sure of how many points - but it cant be good. SO - The drivers were put to the test.. I was focused on filming the rigs getting though these Sloppy Pits of Despair - and WOW, what a messy Job. Congrats the the drivers.. and even more so to the Hosts of this Competition. SO SUPER COOL! This is the Worlds First FREE 30 Minute RC TTC Video produced by the RCSparks Studio & the Rude Boyz RC club. Drumheller's BADLANDS are NO place for just a "Regular" RC truck. Oh no - this is the place where Monster TOUGH TRUCK 4x4 RIGS Roam! This is a competition for 10th Scale Radio Controlled 4X4 Rigs, with a 2.2 Sized inside diameter tire. This film is the 2nd in this 2012 TTC Video series, as the competitors tackle the "Obstacle" course. The course is Very Steep and a challenge to even the most Skilled Drivers. Lots of Rough and Tumble, a DROP OF DOOM bridge and many hairy pitfalls along the way. This event is NOT timed, rather.. scored and judged on how you drive it. "Backups", "Roll-overs" "Touches" and broken parts are all apart of how you are scored, individually. This is the "Badlands" of Drumheller, Alberta, Canada. Known for its overwhelming amount of Fossils, Dinosaurs congregated in this area Millions of years ago.. and have left their mark in this desert like climate. Drumheller used to be completely under the ocean.. and after allll these years later.. here we are with our Rigs.. competing in some of the worlds most challenging area! RCSparks Studio gets down and dirty for you.. putting together more than 250+ clips for you to see the action! We filmed all day for 12 Hours.. and put extra effort into this film. I wanted YOU to feel like you were RIGHT IN THE ACTION! You may not have been able to attend.. but I did - and that means IN YOUR FACE RC ACTION - for FREE :~) I used very LITTLE MUSiC on PURPOSE. http://www.RCSparks.com - FULL 1080HD for Your Glory. The ART of SLOW CRAWL is truly Just That. Art. In this video I explore and share how to "Slow Crawl". From RC4WD , the Toyota Hilux "Trail Finder 2" Mojave style Pick Up Truck is a perfect candidate for this. Many people often hear the words "Scale Trailing", yet havent seen what Slower Crawling in Low gear is like. By first filming in 60fps, I am able to slow crawl while on the trail.. and slow-mo in Post editing. By doing this, I am able to mimic how a full sized vehicle would actually tackle this type of terrain. Now, please keep in mind - this truck is a Hobby/Toy, and has different characteristics to how it operates, compared to a full sized vehicle. But, overall I am happy to show a neat set of Triumphant moments in this video, and take it to an extreme a normal vehicle cant do. Complete Submersion. I've always envisioned doing a shot like this, since the beginning of my RC Filming career. Today I finally get to have that dream come to life on screen. The Truck is an RC4WD Trail Finder 2: I built this truck Loosely based on the UK TV Series "Top Gear". They had a series early on about "To Kill A Toyota" A Red Hilux like this one was used. This is my Model of what happened AFTER the show was completed in the UK..Lol. More info Down below. I used 1.9 Sized Rims, and 1.55 RC4WD Mudslingers stretched over the rims.
