1970 C20 Chevy Truck Audio Overhaul
Here at Aloha, we turn a piece of audio coal, into a diamond. Using all Arc
Audio equipment, we can assure you that you will know when this guy is
rolling around town.
Chevy Big Block Engine Starting
We just finished our new Chevy Big-Block engine, wich will soon find a home
in our 1980 Camaro. It
is just one of many BBC's that I have built. It is a "street friendly" 10:1
all forged, mechanical roller with too many goodies to list . It sounds
crazy and I can't wait to feel the tire shreading performance.
Fred Gets Two Trucks Unstuck
drew needed to be at work, and as usual, i probably ended up talking him
into driving back into the woods for some stupid reason, and so his truck
got stuck. and then we walked to the gas station, and saw fred with his
big truck, and asked the man if he'd help. he had to be somewhere, but the
man still took the time to help us out. good guy for sure!
Cold Start 1983 Diesel Chevy 6.2
Love them or hate them, this 1983 Chevy ¾ ton 4x4 was given to me not
running. The drive train has about 10,000 miles on it and the electrics
just quit. The owner took the electrics all apart and let it sit for 2
years. After putting it back together I found with the help of my neighbor
a fusible link After replacing it the truck runs quite well. Please
subscribe and rate.
Muscle Truck vs. Baja Bug! 1974 Chevy C10 Battles Fred's Volkswagen Baja Bug - Roadkill Ep. 28
Remember the drag racing '74 Chevy Muscle Truck from Roadkill Episode 18?
It's back, but with a twist: it's gonna become a true dual-sport ride for
surf and turf, shedding its drag slicks for Super Swamper Boggers and
hitting the sand dunes...hard! And to prove that a lowered, two-wheel-drive
pickup can dominate the dunes, Freiburger and Finnegan set up a shootout
with Fred Williams from the Dirt Every Day series on the Motor Trend
channel. Fred brought out his '69 VW Baja Bug from DED Episode 23 and went
head to head with the Muscle Truck on the beach at Pismo, California.
The Roadkill/HOT ROD Magazine Muscle Truck is a '74 Chevy C10 shortbed,
stepside, with a GM LS6 crate engine (like the all-aluminum V8 found in a
C6 ZO6 Corvette). It's stock other than a small crane cam, midlength
headers, and a new addition for this episode: MSD's Atomic EFI (the truck
used to run a carburetor). The Atomic setup is atop a BBK intake manifold,
and uses a stock LS1 throttle body. That legendary Exhaust sound comes
from 3-inch pipe with 4-inch Dynomax Bullet race mufflers.
The truck's transmission is a JW turbo
400 backed by a Gear Vendors over/underdrive unit. And it really needs
overdrive because the Ford 9-inch rear carries 5.13 gears and a spool. The
suspension features dropped spindles and Ridetech Strong Arms and air bags
up front. In the rear, two leaves were removed from the stock spring packs,
they were flipped under the axle, and traction is delivered by Caltrac's
Roadkill appears every fourth Friday on the Motor Trend channel.

Youngtimer Suburban Chevy 20 C20 Custom Deluxe Scottsdale Youngtimer 5.7L 350 V8 3rd Row SUV
1985 Chevrolet Suburban 20 Custom Deluxe Scottsdale Suburban with a 350 5.7
engine http://www.1ownercarguy.com This is a good running rig. It fires
right up and drives nice, and tranni shifts like it should. I love these
engines they are very reliable and if anything ever does go wrong they are
easy to find parts for and work on. This truck has more room in it then you
know what to do with. It has 3rd row seating which allows you to haul 7-8
people easily. The 3rd row can easily be removed and the back seats fold
down to give you plenty of room to haul anything you need. The front seat
was replaced and is a different color but is in excellent condition along
with the rest of the seats. The paint is a little faded on top surfaces.
This truck is in good running condition and is the original soccer mom rig.

With the third generation Rounded-Line C/K models, the Suburban became a
4-door vehicle. The Rounded-Line 1970s body style remained largely
unchanged for 19 model years - making this series the longest Suburban
generation in production. Both 2WD and 4WD models, designated "C" and "K",
were offered, as well as one-half ton and three-quarter ton models ("10"
and "20" on the Chevrolet models, "1500" and "2500" on GMC models). The
one-ton model designation was the C or K 30 for GMC and 3500 for Chevrolet.
Suburbans for model year 1973 now had two doors on each side (the
previous generation had just one door on the driver's side), front-and-rear
air conditioning, a baggage rack, a heater under the third seat and
step-plates for easier access. A new Eaton Automatic Differential Lock
was introduced as an option extra for the rear differential.
The base engine was the small-block 350-cubic-inch V8. A 400-cubic-inch V8
was optional. The 454-cubic-inch big-block V8 was now available for the
first time. The 6.2 L (379 cu in) 130 hp (97 kW) Detroit Diesel V8 engine
was also available from 1982-onwards. The Diesel later became the
engine of choice for Suburbans exported to Europe from USA.
Three-speed turbo Hydra-Matic 350
automatic transmissions were available for only small block engines. The turbo Hydra-Matic 400 was used for big
block and 6.2 diesel engines. The four-speed turbo Hydra-Matic 700R4 was introduced in 1981 and
was available with the small block and the 6.2 diesel. Towing packages,
with axle gear reduction and cooling additions for heavy loads, were
Trim options included base level and upgraded Silverado versions. An
optional 3rd row bench seat allowed for 9-passenger configurations. A rear
heating system was optional.
In 1981, automatic locking front hubs were added for shift-on-the-move
four-wheel drive models, and the NP208 transfer case replaced the NP205 in
In 1984, asbestos was removed from rear brakes. For 1985, a new grille was
used. A total of 64,670 Suburbans were made in 1985.
