Performance Autosport Mustang RTR NASA American Iron - Spring Rumble Sunday Race
The Performance Autosport Mustang RTR Road Race crew packed up
and headed to Summit Point for Round 3 of the NASA Mid-Atlantic American
Iron Race Series on April 28-29th 2012. This was the first time racing at
Summit Point in 2012 and we were still making lots of suspension changes
throughout the weekend to try and get the car to do what driver, Chris
Cobetto, wanted it to do.
Please enjoy 3 different angles, the Splitter Cam (which takes a BEATING!),
the Trunk Cam (which I need to change to the closed case to reduce wind
noise next time) and the Cobetto Cam (which shows the man behind the wheel
doing what he does best).
This was Sunday's race which had EXCELLENT weather start to finish. We
qualified and started 1st, led every lap and finished 1st. The race was
cut short as you will see by a very bad crash on the front straight by
fellow American Iron competitor Ed Hunter (the flat black Foxbody that is
chasing Cobetto the entire video). Thankfully he was completely ok, but
the car is totaled. The race was red flagged and everyone's current
positions were their finishing positions.
A big thanks to all our sponsors as always:
