Bug Jam 24 - July 2010, Santa Pod Raceway - Unofficial Official Video Report!
Bug Jam is over for another year and the 24th event proved to be an absolute stormer, but for the first time in years we had great weather across all 3 days with no rain at all! As usual, come 9 o clock on Friday morning an eager queue of VW's had formed outside the gate and there was a constant flow of traffic coming onto site for the duration of the weekend. 1970 Turbo Baja Bug
First prolonged fire up of my new turbo motor, fresh Exhaust paint smoking at the end. Just got to figure out an accelerator cable return spring that works.
The rattling was my new starter motor... pulled it and the ring round the shaft that stops the throwout gear on there has gone bang and left a collar rattling arund on the shaft, slapping the flywheel etc... goodtimes! Sorted though. ahhhh...
Garrett T2 sucking on a Dellorto 40, glorious sound! The neighbours looks were fairly piercing so please, enjoy! :-)
World record 8.60 in a street legal VW beetle! Only @ SCC 2010
The Skinne Beetle went 8.60 in the 1/4 mile and astonished all at SCC, it was a pleasure to witness this and its no easy task building, maintaining and driving a car of this calibre. Congratulations to all involved!

Matt Keens wbx turbo 638hp 2110cc bug
Matt Keens car latest run on the Dyno, after some changes resulted 638hp at 30psi with a holset hx40 super 7 blade turbo, still the 2110cc waterboxer, now ive got to convince him to run it up the track at full Boost :) next year maybe :)

Firestorm Jet Funny Car at Santa Pod during the Easter Thunderball 2010. Only time they managed to get the car off the start line for the weekend and it hit's wall after deploying the chute . Video taken 5th April 2010. Roger Goring (Driver and Owner) all OK. 1/4 mile in 6.442
