Neat Corvettes Racing Stingrays at the 27th Annual Vintage Race Festival at Limerock Park, CT. These are the Corvettes that raced, plus one that didn't and John Fitch was on hand to enjoy the event. The soundtrack are these same Corvettes on the track in practice and qualifying. Sometimes, I hate work, but this is not one of those times.

1970 Corvette #27 Wins at Limerock Vintage Races Sept 3-6, 2010
The 25th Annual Limerock CT Vintage Races with 320 entries in 10 Groups. This video follows a 1970 Corvette convertible 355 ci piloted by Mark Ferrara. There were 5 sessions of 10-12 laps. A practice session, then 3 races. In the first race Mark goes from 17th to finish 7th. The next race he starts 9th and finishes 3rd. The last race he starts 3rd and then get the lead before the first lap is over & continues to lead to the checkered flag. In the last race a Donovan Jag #61 goes from last place to 3rd or 2nd. WOW what a drop dead gorgeous C1 FIRST YEAR of the MID YEARS a (1963) CORVETTE!!!!!!! And what better color than Riverside Red to have for this awesome sports car!! She is a very unique and a very original car in that she still has her Automatic 2 speed power glide automatic and Original Power Steering, BOTH VERY LOW PRODUCTION FIGURES!!! The #s On these are as follows 2621 AUTOMATICS or 12.8 % and Power Steering 3063 or 14.4%. Both very low #s considering that only a total 21,513 (63) Vettes were built splitting the Coupes and Convertibles almost straight down the middle at coupes 10,594 and Converts at 10,919. Still over all the total run 21,513 is less than the run of a Honda Civic in one weeks production!!! This Sting Ray has FANTASTIC MECHANICS with her very powerful small bock V8 and she drives and handles just spectacular. Her paint and body is just awesome and as close to perfection as one could have and still be a driver. SUPER STRAIGHT with all her panels as they sh ould be. If she were just literally a couple of points better she would need to be hauled as opposed to driven, she is that nice and the paint is that good!!! Her interior is also almost perfection while almost all her gauges function as they should, including her (TACH)!! The head light doors open and close as well and all driving lights are as they should be. She has a beautiful white soft top and very clear back window. Almost all of her weather stripping is as new!! Her frame and under side are 100 % rust free and with absolutely no issues what so ever!! With her stunning Red paint and super nice Black interior and wonderful detailed motor compartment there is but one more thing to ad to its beauty A SET OF DAYTON KNOCK OFF WIRE WHEELS set on 4 brand new 205 75 15 Radial tires for that help this Sting Ray to stick to the ground like glue and handle like a slot car.
