Locost Adjustable Front Suspension - Part 3 of 3 - Coilover Shocks
A simple approach to an adjustable front suspension for a locost sevenesque
roadster . You can build a double wishbone suspension using off-the-shelf
parts and nearly any donor with just a tape measure and this simple DIY
process. The key to this solution is adjustability in those components
that matter the most (and that you can realistically control).
Factory Five Racing Cobra Replica - WR TV
While we may be living in the golden age of performance right now, there
will always be a place in the hearts and minds of gearheads the world over
for the classics.
The AC Cobra was the brainchild of Carroll Shelby, who took the gorgeous,
lightweight body of the British-made AC Ace and stuffed a Ford V8 in the
engine bay, thereby creating a legendary sports car that we still lust
after some fifty years later.
While original Cobras command price tags well into seven figure territory,
companies like Factory Five Racing offer replica kits which are much more
accessible to the average pocketbook. And as you'll see in this video,
they're almost indiscernible from the real thing in terms of aesthetics,
mechanicals, performance and sound.
This particular example features Factory Five coilover suspension, a
warmed-over 302ci motor that breathes through a great sounding set of full
length headers, and a modern Ford Racing T5Z 5-speed manual transmission.
More details on the build here:

playing the sound through headphones gives the sensation of 3D sound. All
of this translates to a very realistic listening experience.

Mk4 Roadster Time-Lapse Build
A 2011 Factory Five Roadster, (An exact replica of a 1965 Shelby Cobra).
Myself and my step dad built it together originally for the MYP Personal
Project which is a mandatory requirement at my IB school. It took
approximately 6 months to get it to a skeleton stage with no body or
furnishings, but all of the mechanics worked. And it took about a year
after that for it to be completely done. The last part of this video was
shot in 2013.
Here is a link to my full site - where i documented the whole process and
my MYP statement can be downloaded.
