2009 Mazda 6 2.5L Auto - 0-219 kph
Do not take this as a 0-100 run..the road was uneven and hilly and hence the timing would be inaccurate. The top speed of 225 kph could not be achieved due to this reason.

2009 Mazda 6 vs. 2008 Honda Accord vs. 2008 Nissan Altima | Edmunds.com
Check out the 10 Best Fast & Furious Cars http://vid.io/xqwj SEE THE FULL COMPARISON: http://www.edmunds.com/insideline/do/Drives/Comparos/articleId=131667?tid=e dmunds.il.home.photopanel..1.* Our recent test of the 2009 Mazda 6 s Grand Touring showed us that Mazda can still offer sporting dynamics in its all-new family sedan, even while providing more room, more features and more power. We were concerned that the sporting spirit of the last-generation, fun-but-snug Mazda 6 might have been lost in the search for commercial success, but we came away believing this new car still has that zoom-zoom thing. Like Mazda, we believe a family sedan can be lively as well as practical. So to gauge the way in which the 2009 Mazda 6 fits into the new world of family sedans, we figured a comparison is in order. A 2009 Mazda 6 s Grand Touring would be our starting point. Then we enlisted the 2008 Nissan Altima 3.5 SE with its continuously variable automatic transmission. It's the car that most people consider to be the sportiest in this category, matched with a transmission that shatters all expectations about CVTs. (We know this car is available with a manual transmission, but we also know the CVT is a better choice. Trust us.) The all-new 2008 Honda Accord is the standard of the category, the winner of our last comparison test of family sedans. A 2008 Honda Accord EX-L Navi matched up nicely. Hailed for its value, refinement and excellent quality, the well-mannered Accord would challenge the Mazda's practical abilities. And so we began our family sedan comparison test, and we're wondering how far the Mazda 6's fun-o-meter has swung away from "I could use a Red Bull" toward "My adrenal gland is sore and I need to grow up."

2009 Mazda 6 vs 2009 Volkswagen CC | Comparison Test | Edmunds.com
Check out the 10 Best Fast & Furious Cars http://vid.io/xqwj FOR FULL ARTICLE BY INSIDELINE.COM: http://www.edmunds.com/insideline/do/Drives/Comparos/articleId=148266?tid=e dmunds.il.home.photopanel..1.* Four-door coupes are a state of mind, not a state of reality. The four-passenger 2009 Volkswagen CC Sport is no more a four-door coupe than a conventional five-seat sedan like the 2009 Mazda 6 i Grand Touring. Yet both of these midsize sedans are cool in a way that normally eludes front-wheel-drive, four-cylinder family sedans. We think this has more to do with how the Mazda 6 and VW CC look than how they drive. That's not to say that they don't handle crisply or ride smoothly or accelerate predictably. They do all of that. But nothing that happens in the cockpit is quite so striking as the Volkswagen CC's continuously curvy roof line or the Mazda 6's cat-eye headlamps and bulging fenders. Style, not performance, is what defines the 2009 Mazda 6 i Grand Touring and 2009 Volkswagen CC Sport. And if you're realistic about the kind of life a $30,000 commuter car is supposed to lead, you'll be OK with this compromise.

Crash Test 2003 - 2008 Mazda 6 / Atenza (Frontal Offest Test) IIHS
Mazda 6 2003-08 models FRONTAL OFFSET TEST OVERALL EVALUATION: Good Structure/safety cage Injury measures Restraints/dummy kinematics Head/neck Chest Leg/foot, left Leg/foot, right Good Acceptable Good Good Good Good Important: Frontal crash test ratings can be compared only among vehicles of similar weight. Test details: The Mazda 6 was introduced in the 2003 model year as a replacement for the Mazda 626. Restraints/dummy kinematics — Dummy movement was well controlled. During rebound, the dummy's head hit the B-pillar. Injury measures — Measures taken from the neck, chest, and both legs indicate low risk of injuries to these body regions in a crash of this severity. A high head acceleration occurred when the dummy's head hit the B-pillar, indicating that injuries to the head would be possible.
