He immediately started the restoration. He put less than 7,000 miles on her in 11 years and she was babied that whole time. She has been garage kept and has seen rain less than a handful of times. She has always been properly winterized and covered during the winter seasons. This car is mechanically sound in all respects. The previous owner performed "The Shelby Drop" (Carroll Shelby's Geometry Change for the Upper Control Arms to Improve Cornering and Drivability). All body work and paint were done by Northland Collision in Ferndale, Michigan. They do the work for many vehicles that appear at the Concours D'Elegance at Meadowbrook. 1965 Mustang 2+2 Fastback Restoration (oct.13 1964)
Restoration of Jody's first car. He bought it when he was 14 from the original owner. We restored it to original except the side mirrors and shift knob which the car had when he bought it all those years ago. This is an A code, 289 4 barrel, 4spd, Disc brake, A.C. from the factory, a GT package before they called it a GT. Built Oct 13 1964, fastbacks did not start production until Sept 64.

1967 USA Ford LTD Galaxie Fastback Coupe 390 Big Block V8 -- 3-Speed Auto
This Coupe is an extremely unique example of a classic USA Ford Galaxie Fastback Coupe, with all the LTD additions. Then the killer combination of Black duco and Black interior -- Black on Black, now throw in a mean set of 20" rims. The Galaxie has been slightly lowered to fit perfectly on her 20" rims. The ride height is in just right with a tough stance. She drives true and straight down the road and around bends without any rubbing. Some of the most recent improvements include; Complete interior redone, New 20" rims & tires (less than a year old), New Pencil Tip chrome Exhaust tips, New vinyl top (less than a year old), Motor: rebuilt in 2005 all moving parts refurbished, New gas tank and sending unit. Interior: As mentioned recently replaced, the seats are in great nic, as are all the door skins and handles. The headliner looks in good condition and the dash looks nearly immaculate with one crack (in well of speedo). The weather stripping and window felts are showing signs of wear around the place. The carpet is also in good shape without ware or stains. Body: The door panels are straight and fit as the originals would. The paint is fair I have to say and give it around 7 out of 10 (no bog, just old enamel straight out the gun). All the chrome and bright work is in tack, some of the trim has a few dents and imperfections when looking hard. The bumpers are in near flawless condition, but have lost a bit of the bling. Rust; all of the common places appear to be rust free and all the floors look nice and solid. With all the original sheetmetal still in place no patches to be seen. Other Bits: The 3-Speed Auto shifts without noise or issue and the kick back seems to work fine. The brakes on this thing would put most modern cars to shame, with a nice big Booster under the hood. The Galaxie stops a treat and has a very firm pedal. The power steering works a treat without any signs of any leaks or wear. This vehicle drivers very well for a Muscle Car Classic . Condition: Vehicle is in great condition for its nearly 47 years on this planet, however is sold in, as is condition. With no warranty given or implied. She's a beautiful car and although not a show car, I believe with a little work she could compete with the best. The only discrepancies are; factory radio & speakers have been removed, the blower and windscreen whippers don't work. Fine Print: More than happy to answer any genuine questions about the car, just send an message anytime and I'll pass on my contact details. Locally for Sale can be removed at any time. Any Inspections of Vehicle welcomed at your cost, my convenience. Test drives are "Out of the Question" without firm deposit. Vehicle is sitting in my garage and have only been driven around the Adelaide streets on day permit. Currently Shannon's insured. Vehicle Never been rego'ed in Oz. Payment: $500 Non-Refundable Deposit on close of Auction via PayPal. Full payment CASH or Bank Cheque or arranged Internet Transfer with conditions. Necessary Customs import approval paperwork and other associated transfer documents will be made available on sale of vehicle. Decode of Data-Plate: 7 - 1967 G - Chicago, IL 62 - 2 dr. 1967 Ford Mustang Fastback Restomod Classic Muscle Car for Sale in MI Vanguard Motor Sales
http://www.ClassicCarBuyingSecrets.com Click now for an instant download on "How to Avoid the 7 Deadliest Mistakes of Buying a Classic Car Online"! 1967 Ford Mustang Fastback, Restomod History The Ford Mustang is an automobile manufactured by the Ford Motor Company. It was initially based on the second generation North American Ford Falcon, a compact car. Introduced early on April 17, 1964, dubbed as a "1964½" model by Mustang fans, the 1965 Mustang was the automaker's most successful launch since the Model A. The model is Ford's third oldest nameplate in production and has undergone several transformations to its current fifth generation. The Mustang created the "pony car" class of American automobiles—sports car-like coupes with long hoods and short rear decks[—and gave rise to competitors such as GM's Chevrolet Camaro, AMC's Javelin, and Chrysler's revamped Plymouth Barracudas and Dodge Challengers. VIN 7T02C251312 It was a full restoration 1,700 miles ago and has been pampered ever since. The body has been modified slightly but very tastefully and the interior has been done the same way.
