1996 Dodge Viper GTS Heffner Twin Turbo Coupe
We are pleased to offer this '96 Viper GTS Coupe you see here. But make no mistake, this is not your average Viper. This BEAST is powered by its 8.0L (488CI) V10 which was modified by the masterminds of forced induction systems at Heffner Performance and features a custom twin-turbo setup. The end result is a machine putting out nearly 1,000HP (950HP and 895 lb-ft torque @ 15psi). This car was built with one thing in mind... SPEED and it does just that. Best quarter mile by its current owner was done at 10.7 sec @ 141mph. 6 speed manual transmission with an MGW short throw shifter. The car rides on massive chrome 20" HRE 567R wheels wrapped in Nitto INVO rubber 285/30ZR20 front, 345/25ZR20 rear. Stopping power comes by way of a SRT Brembo brake kit with cross-drilled and slotted rotors. Suspension has been lowered to fill the gaps thanks to some Eibach springs.
This car was featured in the November 2009 issue of Super Street Bike Magazine called Car vs Kawasaki ZX-14: Ultimate Street Showdown. It featured 5 heavily tuned cars put up against a stock Kawasaki ZX-14. The Viper was the clear winner against the other cars and 2nd only to the Kawasaki by a margin of 0.9 seconds. A pretty outstanding accomplishment for a fully streetable 3400lb vehicle!

Almost had a bad day!!!
Driving around Austin testing my Exhaust volume with a dB meter, I put the car in 3rd gear at ¾ throttle to do a quick burst and pull up beside the red car I was following (the red Toyota). The guy in the white SUV pulls out directly in front of me without yielding or stopping. Notice how fast it all happened!
Thank God for Big Brakes!!!
