1964 FORD FALCON STATION WAGON - 1 OF 17,779
Ford Falcon continues to attract buyers. This year, Falcon offered 4
wagons. There was the 2 door, the 4 door such as this, the Deluxe 4 door,
and the high-end Squire 4 door. This particular wagon would have cost you
in the neighborhood of $2,360. Engines for the Falcon wagons this year
would be two L-head sixes, at 200 cid, and 223 with 116 and 138 horses
respectively, plus a V8 260 cid, 260 hp. These were the only engines
available for the Falcon wagon. Other Falcon models had a broader choice.
This wagon seems roomy with ample cargo area and seating. Familiar Ford
round tail lights grace the rear end. Notice the plain interior with the
dash instruments easily seen by the driver and the 60's type vinyl seats.
The 1964 Ford products have been called the prettiest Fords of the 1960's
and this Ford Falcon fits well into that catagory. Thanks for viewing this
1964 Ford Falcon station wagon.
1964 FORD COUNTRY SQUIRE STATION WAGON -- EXCELLENT EXAMPLE
Gaze at this excellent example of a Ford wagon. To me what is so amazing
is the condition of the Din-Noc wood paneling along the sides for most wood
grain decals don't last this long and replacement decals are extremely hard
to find. There are two choices for Ford wagons this year. The less
expensive model is labled the Country Sedan and the example shown here is
the upper level wagon, the Country Squire. Both wagon models were four
doors with either 6 or 9 passenger seating. This wagon is a six seater.
The 64 Ford is the best looking big Fords of the decade and today they
still retain those good looks. This Country Squire had a retail price of
$3,029 and 23, 570 with six seats were produced this year. The 9 seat
wagon cost $3,099 and 23,120 of those were sold. The big wagons demanded
big engines so there were three to choose from: all V8's, 352 cid / 250
bhp., the 390 cid with 300 - 330 bhp., and the 427 cid with between 410 -
425 horses. This example has the 352. Looking over this wagon you will
see the engine compartment is appearing new, the paint and trim is in
excellent condition, and again the wood paneling is very good along with
the luggage rack. Love those famous large round Ford taillights. Thanks
very much for viewing this hardy 1964 Ford Country Squire Station Wagon.
