This 1973 Pontiac Trans Am SD455 is ready to show and compete at any level and has already earned a second place at the Pontiac Nationals in Norwalk. As one of only 252 Super Duties built in '73, it features a matching numbers drive train and PHS documentation package. If you're looking for your next investment or you want what might be the most accurate Super Duty on earth, look no further.
1973 Super Duty Trans Am
Some info on this car , I purchased it in Feb 1987 for $7,000. When I purchaed this car the SD455 motor was rarely spoke of even in Pontiac crowds. The car is originaly Brewster Green but was painted white back in the mid to late 70's thats when the large and small birds were added and yes that would be wrong but that is the way the person who painted it wanted it. The condition of the paint today is not great but this car is not a restored trailer queen, nothing wrong with trailered cars, I am not afraid to drive it, I take it to cruise in's, I have done 200mile day trips, I have taken it to the track and it runs consistant 13.10 (best time 12.96 @ 107) enjoy it with the family, not afraid if someone leans on it or touches it, although I try to keep it out of the rain if possible. About the paint, what would be correct for this car would be Brewster Green paint and the small bird on the nose (one option that was not ordered for this car was the large hood bird which was an option in 73). So although not original this is the way this car appeared back in the day. The rest of the body and interior is original, the car is loaded with options that include , CUSTOM CLOTH, PW, PL, A/C, REAR WINDOW DEFROST, LIGHT GROUP, TINTED WINDOWS, REAR CONSOLE, FM STEREO, EXTERIOR MOLDING TRIM PACKAGE, sealed maintenance free battery (it had no fill plugs). RTS (radial tuned suspension) which was an option for the first time in 1973 trans am and formula, this included radial ttires with about a 1/2 white wall stripe and the suspension change which I think was about 1/2 degree negative camber.
As for the motor it was rebuilt back in 1991, .030 overbore, heads milled about .080, 030 SD pistons, match port heads, RA IV hyd cam, roller rockers, 2 1/2 flowmaster with stock style cross over muffler and Griffin radiator for 95 degree florida days, all else stock.
I have considered painting it to get the original color back but I think I would start to baby the car. It's so much fun the way is it now.
1974 Trans Am Super Duty 455 Four-Speed FUN
This is a very rare 1974 Pontiac Trans Am Super Duty. Less than 1,000 of this 455-powered, specially built monsters were produced from 73-74. Today they command ever increasing prices approaching six figures.
1973 Pontiac Trans Am Red
Looks like it just came off the assembly line...underhood markings and all! Great car, great condition! Probably the highlight of the second generation of Firebirds!
455 c.i. was about as big as they made!

1972 Pontiac Trans Am 455 HO Four-Speed Muscle Car
I thought you'd like a look at this 1972 Pontiac Trans Am 455 HO. It's equipped with a 455 V8 that's pumping out 300 horsepower and 415 LbFt of torque. All that power is funneled back through a four-speed manual trans to a posi rear end. This really is one of the last great cars of the muscle car era. Thanks for watching and commenting, I appreciate it!

Here is an excerpt from Popular Hot Rodding Magazine (September 1982) full page write-up about the 73-74 Super Duty Trans Am.
The first and last paragraphs:
"Probably one of the most awesome engines ever produced by Pontiac was the Super Duty which was built in two versions, 1961-1963 and 1973-1974. The Super Duty engine was ahead of its time churning out great doses of torque and horsepower. When combined with the Trans Am body style it made for an unbeatable combination of power and handling.
.......
All Super Duty Trans Ams came with the 8 1/2-inch 10-bolt rear end, and with the optional 3.42 to 1 rear gearing were capable of running 13.90-second quarter mile times. If you're interested in picking up a Super Duty T/A today, they run between $5,000 and $10,000 depending on condition. If you can't afford one, pretend you can and take a test ride. Once you've been in one, you won't forget what they look, sound, and feel like."

This yellow '32 Ford roadster was built with an eye for detail. The body itself is a Harwood fiberglass piece with a smooth cowl and rolled rear pan, along with a Rootlieb 3-piece steel hood. Even the door jambs received the ministrations of a master before being sprayed with the Corvette Millennium Yellow topcoat. Check out the DuVall windshield, the stainless grille insert, and "Hide-A-Tag" license plate frame. The turn signals and parking lights are integrated into the headlights and simple LED taillights are out back.
The 355 cubic inch Chevy features World Products heads, a chrome Edelbrock intake, and a cam from Speed Pro. Fuel is delivered by an Edelbrock carburetor through a Billet Specialties air cleaner. The transmission is a 4-speed automatic that twists a polished aluminum drive shaft.
The frame is also a Harwood piece with pinched and boxed rails, tubular supports, a drop-down transmission mount, and C-notches front and rear. The front suspension is fully polished, from the tubular axle with a 2-inch drop, to the monoleaf spring holding it all up. Out back, the Ford 9-inch axle carries 3.50 gears. It is suspended on a set of stainless steel ladder bars with a Panhard rod, as well as a pair of polished coilovers. You'll also notice a set of Wilwood disc brakes up front, complete with polished aluminum calipers and backing plates, and stainless steel brake lines throughout. Finishing off the chassis is a set of American Racing polished aluminum wheels.
The interior is all tan leather. The steering wheel is wrapped in matching leather and sits on a tilt steering column, while the gauges are from Classic Instruments and set into a chrome panel from Lokar. Keeping the interior dry if the weather turns ugly is a tan canvas Sid Chavers BopTop.
