1997 Saturn SL2. Bone stock except for full magnaflow dual Exhaust seen in other video, run on mid-grade
gas, 115K miles and burns no oil. 0-60 in about 8 or 9 seconds. and the
total run was ~0-90. You cant make fun of these cars. They run
exceptionally good for 4 cylinders and beat many other 4 cylinders.
I have personally raced from dead stop and beat:
-2002 Ford Escape with the V6
-1998 Nissan Pathfinder with the V6
-2001 Chevy Cavalier with bodykit (not sure if it was a Z24 or not)
-1999 Honda Accord with a 4 cylinder
And the best: a 2004 Dodge Neon SRT4. He missed 2nd gear though so i wont
Everybody talks crap about Saturns and my friend use to too until he rode
in mine. He was very impressed at the acceleration and the responsiveness.
Yes I know its not a V6 or a V8. Yes i know i can get walked on by Camaro's, Firebird's, Mustang's, VTEC's, etc. Im not saying
I have the fastest car, Im jus showing what a saturn is capable of in case
people are wondering. ENJOY! DONT TALK TRASH ABOUT IT
00-02 Saturn S-Series headliner removal
In this video I show you how the headliner board is removed from a 2002
Saturn SL2. This is part of the process to either replace the fabric on the
board or to work on the sunroof.
I unfortunately did not record the replacement of the fabric because I
butchered the install but there are many videos out there that will show
you how. The Sunroof is a project come spring.

Saturn Idle problem.mov
In this video we show you how to replace an idle air control solenoid and
clean the throttle body on a 1996 Saturn. This car was having a
excessively high idle. It would stay at 1500 RPM even though your foot was
not on the gas pedal. This was caused by carbon build up around and behind
the throttle body as well as a defective idle air control solenoid.

Turbo Saturn Drag Race - 13.259 @ 110.10 - 1.87 60'!
"Well, I believe that's a front wheel drive Saturn doing a pretty good job
against that pickup truck in the Dodge lane."
1st to 2nd was sloppy but still managed a 13.259. 12 second Saturn all day
if everything goes right :)!
Cutting White Wire on Saturn Ion to Fix Starting Issue
UPDATE 3/21/2014: My car is still working fine. I still have not had a
problem with it starting since I posted this video 5 years ago. Still on
the same battery. Thanks for all the comments!
This is me showing how I cut the passlock wire on my car. My car would not
start on damp, cold mornings, often taking 30 - 40 minutes to get it to
start. After reading several forums I found users who were doing this to
"fix" the problem. I thought I would tape this for anyone who was thinking
of doing the same but doesn't know anything about cars. Like me. :)
Note: I owe thanks to meron for the post at this link
http://townhall-talk.edmunds.com/direct/view/.f1137a7/83 it is where I
first heard about this solution.
Update 10.6.2012: I added a switch, I believe it was this one
http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2062533 I installed
it with it in the off position, started the car, switched it to On while
the car was running and the service engine light went away. Car started
fine after that. I just shut it off again as it was cold one morning this
week and I had trouble getting the car started. Once I got it running,
turned it off and haven't had trouble starting it since. YMMV
