NMRA Goes Heads Up at Bradenton 2011!
Check out the first official video of the 2011 NMRA Season!
Each year, the NMRA opens its season at Bradenton Motorsports Park in
Bradenton, Florida; new class records are set, new cars rolled out, and
familiar faces seen. What a better place to spend Spring Break, than the
beaches of Florida, not to mention the NHRA drag strip nestled between the

UPDATE 2 Below...
here's my video on autoblog:
UPDATE 1: by "perfect shift" in the title, i didn't intend for it to really
mean a best-practice way to shift gears but, rather, to mimic the title of
the thread i read about this technique from.
this is a video i made after i read a thread on the forum i'm always on
(forums.clubrsx.com). it's about shifting w/out using the clutch. yes,
there really is less wear on the infamous synchros (a widely discussed
topic in the comments section of this video) the closer you shift at the
appropriate RPM for the gear you're switching to.
UPDATE 2: i've turned off comments and ratings to this video. i'm pretty
much tired of seeing the same comments recycled. besides, there are already
over 1000 comments (after removing extraneous ones) and over half a million
views. here are the categories the comments fell under and my responses to
comment about "facepaint"
-it's a mud mask used for exfoliating. i didn't bother to take it off
before making the video, apparently.
truckers do this
-great. i learned something new after receiving this type of comment about
my car is gay
-it's a matter of preference, homies ;)
i tried it and it worked
you're messing up your tranny/synchros
-i'll agree with this to a certain degree. you will mess up your
transmission/synchros if you perform this "clutchless shifting" horribly
(i.e. bad rev-matching) and repetitively.
why don't you just use the clutch?

10 second "stock" 5.0 coupe!
First 10 second pass in my project coupe. Has a stock 5.0 intake modified,
10 hole wheels, and tail pipes. Yes it has other stuff done to it, but
appears mostly stock outside and under the hood.
For those that just don't get it and can't read the replies in the comments
section the car isn't bone stock. A bone stock foxbody Mustang won't run into the 10s even
with Nitrous. Mid 13s maybe with nothing
at all done. Add gear, slicks, Nitrous
and 11s are doable as I've done that. The stock in the title is in quotes.
It's built to appear stock inside, outside, and under the hood. The car is
currently getting a major overhaul and will hopefully run well into the 9s
while still appearing mostly stock..."stock". ;) The setup in this video
was: Edelbrock Performer 5.0 heads untouched, TMoss ported lower M3 casting
stock lower intake, (cut, ported, shortened stock 5.0 upper intake), 70mm
TB and EGR, 24lb injectors, Comp nx264 cam, 175HP shot Nitrous, decent suspension setup, 28x9 slicks,
4:10 gears, T5, and hard driving. It's a very basic setup that works.
Learning to Power Shift
I am trying to learn to power shift my 1993 Mustang. I have mastered power
shifting from 1st to 2nd and 3rd to 4th. As you can see and here in the
video, I have yet to master the 2nd to 3rd shift.
