Dodge Omni GLH Shift Linkage Installation
I installed the Great Lakes Hot Rods L body Shift Linkage kit in my Omni GLH recently. There are some differences between the NA GLH and turbo model shift linkages which gave me a really rough time. Notice where my NA ball socket is on the long piece which goes to the shifter vs. stock. See also how my piece is angled so much more than the turbo piece is. If you barely install the spherical bearing into the rod that will be a great starting place to allow for proper movement and placement of the shifter for the NA models. Installing the ball on the opposite side like stock may help, but I was following the directions, and the height wouldn't have been all that different anyway. At 2:31 you can see the arm which goes to the shifter and compare it to a turbo one in the instructions you're provided.

Classics Revealed: The Shelby Cobra
( http://www.TFLcar.com ) The Shelby Cobra is perhaps the World's most iconic and thus copied car. Less than 1000 original Ford AC Cobras were built by Carroll Shelby. Tens of Thousands of copies of the original 289 and 427 AC Cobras exist with most of them being "kit cars" copies. In this exclusive TFLcar video we visit Superformace in Southern California to learn why the Shelby Cobra is such an iconic race car and automobile. Superformance along with Carroll Shelby's own Shelby Automobiles, Inc build what many call "Continuation Cars". These are brand new Shelby Cobra roadsters and coupes that have official Shebly CSX serial numbers. They are of course not the original series of Shelby Cobra cars which now demand hundreds of thousands of dollars by collectors when they do come up for sale , but they are also not copies. They are simply new Shelby Cobras built as a continuation of the original series of cars. In other words, these are new Shelby Cobras. If you are a fan of Carroll Shelby and his cars you'll like this video as we get deep into the history of what many believe is America's most beautiful and iconic race car.

For more information on this vehicle visit http://tinyurl.com/mahqh37 By 1983, the Belvedere-built Charger had become an established player in America's re-invigorated compact car market. Eccentric gearheads knew if you wanted to look cool, you bought an L-Body. And if you wanted to look cool and go fast, you bought a Shelby L-Body. Averaging just over 430 miles per year, this pint-size MoPar appears to have rarely seen anything other than sunshine and warm summer days. A quick check of the car's undercarriage and suspension reveals no evidence of catastrophic rust or abuse. A quick check of the car's profile reveals its body has never seen any major repairs. And a quick check of our pictures confirms its original Santa Fe and Radiant Silver skin is both bright and glossy. That's right, even 31 years after it rolled out of the showroom this spry sports coupe is still a true head turner everywhere it goes! In their effort to improve the Charger, Shelby and Chrysler did not overlook the car's mechanicals. They tweaked the engine, milling the block 0.030 inches to raise compression to 9.6 to 1. They changed the camshaft timing by advancing the cam a few degrees. They also made modifications to the 2.2 liter's electronic controls to extract optimum performance. Consequently, the Shelby powerplant develops 13 more horsepower and 10 more lb./ft. of torque than the standard Omni mill. These enhancements, plus a lower final drive ratio, make the car a tick quicker than the standard Charger and its early '80s competition. Specifically, the Shelby has a 0 to 60 time of 10 seconds flat and a 117MPH top speed. Shelby Chargers came standard with an A525 5-speed that feeds the front wheels. Holding that tossable drivetrain off the ground is an original Special Sports Suspension that utilizes shorter springs, stiffer shocks and correct power front disc and rear drum brakes to both lower the car and improve already responsive handling. And, at the corners of that chassis, original 'pizza' wheels spin original 195/50R15 Goodyear Eagle GTs around locking lug nuts. This coupe's tri-tone cockpit, which nicely complements its 2-tone exterior, shows hardly any signs of wear. The reclining seats keep you as comfortable for quick blasts of speed as they do during long road trips. In front of the driver, a pliable dash, which shows zero defects, is packed full of gauges that work exactly as they should. And, below that dash, crack-free consoles prop a black shifter on gray carpet that's protected by carpeted and color-keyed floor mats. If you're an enthusiast who likes to put their hardware on the road, few classics deliver this blend of exclusivity and practicality. Trying to figure out what the engine noise is. Looks like lifters that won't drain down plus maybe some plugged up oil squirters.

Shelby Daytona Cobra Coupe - Lovely Exhaust Sounds!
This video shows an extremely rare and original 1964 Shelby Daytona Cobra Coupe, only six Daytona original coupes were ever built between 1964 and 1965. In 2009 a Daytona Coupe (chassisnumber CSX2601) was sold for $7.25million US dollars, with such a ridiculous value it's even more incredible to see one being driven very fast around track!
