#499-FTL 1981 Monte Carlo SS
For sale in our Fort Lauderdale showroom is this one of a kind, truly special 1981 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS Pro Street. What makes this different than many Pro Street cars is that it is right at home on both the street and the track. It can be a tame car when you need it to be, but step on the accelerator and it’s a different animal completely. You can drive it to your around town and to your favorite car show or take it to the track with no problem. It runs on pump gas! All of the typical problems with Pro Street cars have been addressed. No rough idle, no overheating, and no issues to speak of. The engine, one of the most impressive parts of this car, is a 468cid big block Chevy with AFR heads, scorpion roller rockers, air gap intake, quick fuel 950Q carburetor, Hooker super comp headers and much, much more. With a 10.8 to 1 compression ratio, this pump gas engine is a naturally aspirated monster. Mated to this beast of an engine is a TCI Super Street Fighter 400 automatic transmission with Cheetah shifter and a big trans cooler. This Pro Street Monte Carlo SS has a 9-inch braced rear end, back halved with ladder bars, a Detroit locker with 456 gears, performance axles, built drive shaft, just to name a few parts. There is a lot of custom body work and chassis fabrication that went into the build of this car. This SS sounds great with its 3.5 inch Exhaust with crossover pipe and race mufflers. The super-wide rear tires on this Monte Carlo SS have enough grip to get you up to speed and back to a stop in no time. The ride is comfortable on the coilover suspension. This car actually has a useable trunk! Don’t let this chance slide by to have a Pro Street that can do it all. - See more at: 99.html#sthash.ltzkWmvY.dpuf
