DETAILED Review | 2015 Volkswagen Jetta on Everyman Driver
http://www.everymandriver.com/ - 2015 @VW @Volkswagen #Jetta
The redesigned 2015 Jetta, when equipped with the optional Forward
Collision Warning system, has been named a 2014 TOP SAFETY PICK+ by the
Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS).
The 2015 Jetta offers a combination of both passive and active systems and
has been engineered to meet or exceed current crash regulations. The Jetta
features a number of available driver assistance systems, including Blind
Spot Monitor with Rear Traffic Alert and Forward Collision Warning.
Blind Spot Monitor. This system utilizes a flashing symbol in the outer
area of the side mirrors to help alert the driver to vehicles that are in
the vehicle’s blind spot or approaching from the rear. This is intended
to help improve driver awareness when changing lanes. The system uses radar
sensors to "monitor" a space around the vehicle with a range of
approximately 65 feet. Customers who choose the Blind Spot Monitor option
automatically get the Rear Traffic Alert assistance system as well.
Rear Traffic Alert. The new driver assistance system is offered in tandem
with Blind Spot Monitor. The system not only helps alert the driver to
stationary and moving vehicles directly behind the vehicle; it also detects
vehicles approaching from the side which may be difficult for the driver to
see. The radar-based sensor module can even detect objects up to 65 feet
away. In case of an impending collision, the system gives an acoustic
Forward Collision Warning. This system uses radar sensors to monitor the
distance from traffic ahead of the vehicle. The Forward Collision Warning
system helps alert the driver of critical front-end collision situations,
both acoustically and visually by a clear warning symbol in the instrument
cluster. The radar sensor acquires both the position of stationary cars and
motorcycles and those moving in the same direction as the vehicle. The
sensor is hidden behind the VW logo on the radiator grille.
All Jetta models are equipped with standard Electronic Stability Control
(ESC), six airbags, Anti-lock Brakes (ABS), Electronic Brake-pressure
Distribution (EBD), Electronic Stability Control (ESC), and Hydraulic Brake
The 2015 Jetta is already on sale in U.S. dealerships. The lineup will
offer three gasoline engines, a TDI Clean Diesel, and a hybrid powertrain,
as well as four trim levels—Base, S, SE, and SEL.

Turbocharged VW Jetta 2.0 Review!
For this quick review video, I continue my mountain drives this time around
in a Precision turbocharged Volkswagen
Jetta with the 2.0 liter motor. With a decent amount of power gained from
the factory horsepower, it was an
interesting drive feeling out the power band in comparison to stock along
with the staggered tire setup. With the look of the stance world with a hint
of performance, it was a great time. Thanks for watching and stay awesome!

Volkswagen Jetta. The concept of German engineering might seem like a
simple marketing ploy but there is actually something to it. Driving
privileges for Germanys fabled autobahn arent limited to the fastest, most
expensive cars. Relatively inexpensive cars like the Volkswagen Jetta
travel the autobahn, too.
Welcome to our comprehensive Kelley Blue Book review of the Volkswagen
Unsurprisingly, the same engineering philosophy that makes the Volkswagen
Jetta suitable for the autobahn also makes it pretty darn fun to drive.
America car buyers have known this ever since the Jetta was introduced to
the US in 1980. Now in its fifth generation, the Jetta continues to offer
German style and handling at a price accessible to the common man.

Important: Frontal crash test ratings can be compared only among vehicles
of similar weight.
The Volkswagen Jetta was redesigned during the 2005 model year. The new
design entered production in December 2004, and the earlier design, which
is classified as a small car, was produced through October 2004. Note:
information about when a specific vehicle was manufactured is on the
certification label typically affixed to the car on or near the driver
The frontal offset crash test ratings also apply to the hatchback version
of the Jetta, called the Volkswagen Rabbit beginning with 2006 models,
which is classified as a small car due its shorter overall length and lower
weight. The ratings also apply to the station wagon version of the Jetta,
called the Jetta SportWagen, beginning with 2009 models.
Restraints/dummy kinematics — Dummy movement was well controlled. During
rebound, the dummy's head hit the roof rail.
Injury measures — Measures taken from the head, neck, and chest indicate
low risk of injuries to these body regions in a crash of this severity.
Forces on the right tibia indicate that lower leg injuries would be
possible. Head acceleration from the roof rail hit was low.
