2012 Kia Rio Test Drive & Car Review

http://www.autobytel.com/kia/rio/2012/?id=32972 The 2012 Kia Rio is certainly an entry level subcompact car. But the Rio elevates this segment. The features are top of the line, the price is excellent, and the fuel economy is amazing. For the 2012 Model year the Kia Rio comes in 2 different body styles. The regular Kia Rio is a 4-door compact car and the Kia Rio 5 is a 5-door hatchback. The 2012 Kia Rio has a base price of $13,400. Past subcompact cars were ugly econoboxes that no one really wanted to drive. Well Kia has pushed the design envelope with the new Rio which features sharp headlights and an attractive front bumper which makes the car look more expansive then it is. The GDi gamma 1.6 liter 4-cylinder engine produces 138 horsepower and 123 lb-ft. of torque. The Rio has great fuel economy with 30 MPG in the city and 40 MPG on the highway. There are tons of features and options that come standard on the Rio but the best part is Hyundai's 100k mile powertrain warranty. The 2012 Kia Rio is a great value at this price point. 2012 Kia Optima Hybrid Test Drive & Car Review
http://www.autobytel.com/kia/optima-hybrid/?id=32972 The Kia Optima went from being one of the ugliest cars in the automotive world to one of the best looking car companies. And the 2012 Kia Optima Hybrid may be the best looking hybrid on the market today. The Optima Hybrid is powered by a 2.4 liter 4-cylinder engine that makes 166 horsepower and 154 lb-ft. of torque. With the additional power from the electric motor the total horsepower output is 206. The 2012 Kia Optima Hybrid has a 6-speed transmission. Fuel Economy figures for the Optima Hybrid are 36 MPG in the city and 40 MPG on the highway. Kia did a great job on the 2012 Optima Hybrid by maximizing interior space while keeping a sporty design. The double panoramic sunroof is a really great feature too! With a base price of $26,500 the 2012 Kia Optima Hybrid is a great choice for a fuel efficient mid sized car. 2013 Kia Rio Sedan Test Drive & Compact Car Video Review
http://www.autobytel.com/kia/rio/2013/?id=32972 The Kia Rio is one of the lowest priced cars on the market today. In the past the Rio was known as a simple form of transportation that was really only good as a daily driver. But recently Kia gave the Rio a thorough redesign and the results speak for themselves. Now the Rio is one of the best looking cars in the subcompact class and it also offers some of the best standard and features. The new 2013 Kia Rio sedan has a base price of $13,600. The Kia Rio used to be the joke of the sub-compact segment. The car was not very good-looking, the handling wasn't great, and the power was weak. But it was a cheap set of wheels that had good fuel economy ratings. Now though, thanks to Peter Schreyer the Chief of Design for Kia, the Rio is one of the better looking cars in the sub-compact segment. The 2013 Kia Rio is available in 2 different body styles; a 5-door hatchback and a 4-door sedan. The sedan is much better looking as everything integrates nicely on the exterior. There is plenty of trunk space out back and the car drives pretty well. Kia has made a great commitment to direct-injection technology. Under the hood of the 2013 Kia Rio lives a 1.6 liter direct-injection GDi 4-cylinder engine that makes 138 horsepower and 123 lb-ft. of torque. You can opt for either a manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters. Fuel economy figures are 29 MPG in the city and 37 MPG on the highway. With a starting price of under $18k for the top of the line model, you can really get some great standard features and by upgrading to the Premium Package you can get a push-button start, leather seating, and a navigation unit with a 7-inch screen. These are great amenities for an entry level compact car. There are a lot of great cars in this segment and when you combine a nice 100k mile warranty along with the new exterior design, the Rio is certainly a great choice for a sub-compact car. When coupled with a CVT transmission the Altima car get up to 23 MPG in the city and 32 MPG on the highway. The second engine is a 3.5 liter V-6 that makes 270 horsepower and 258 lb-ft. of torque. 2012 Subaru Legacy Test Drive & Car Review
http://www.autobytel.com/subaru/legacy/2012/?id=32972 The midsized car segment is packed and the 2012 Subaru Legacy is working hard to separate itself from the rest of the bunch. The advanced symmetrical all-wheel drive system and upgraded interior are 2 ways the Legacy has progressed. The 2012 Subaru Legacy has a base price of $19,995 while the top of the line model goes for $28,595. There are 3 engines offered on the Legacy. The first is a 2.5 liter 4-cylinder engine that makes 170 horsepower and 170 lb-ft. of torque. This very base engine also gets the best fuel economy at 23 MPG in the city and 31 MPG on the highway. The second engine is a turbocharged version of the 2.5 liter which has 265 horsepower and 258 lb-ft. of torque. The fuel economy for the turbo engine is 18 MPG in the city and 25 MPG on the highway. The last engine choice is a 3.6 liter V-6 that produces 256 horsepower and 247 lb-ft. of torque. The V-6 engine gets 18 MPG in the city and 25 MPG on the highway. Fuel economy is a bit lower than the competition due in part to the all wheel drive system. The Subaru Legacy has always had a spot in the midsized car segment and the turbocharged GT Limited model is a big hit with enthusiasts. So if you are looking for something a bit more unique the regular mundane choices for a midsized passenger car and you want the added safety and handling that comes from an all wheel drive vehicle, then the 2012 Subaru Legacy may be the right choice. Like us on Facebook @ http://www.Facebook.com/2Redline Click here to view the full editorial review: http://www.2-the-redline.com/site/2013-kia-rio/ After years of being referred to as the penalty box within the sub-compact class, Kia has decided to step up their game and build a more desirable Rio. The all-new third generation touts impressive high-end features that had previously never wandered into the commuter car segment, and while there are no doubts as to whether the Korean automaker has greatly improved its offering, the real question remains: Will fancy features and creative designs be enough shake off the previous model's stodgy image? If you haven't laughed today, make sure that you watch the outtakes at the end of video!

All-new for 2011, it continues Kia's march upmarket and benefits from smart, contemporary styling, generous space inside and an appealing engine range -- two diesels (1.1-litre and 1.4) and two petrols (1.25 and 1.4).

2012 Kia Rio EX Hatch Start Up, Quick Tour, & Rev With Exhaust View - 5K
2012 Kia Rio EX Hatch IT's powered by a 138 HP 1.6L DOHC 4 Cyl which is paired to a 6 speed auto. The Pro? Lots of legroom, appropriate gearbox, Bluetooth/Satellite radio, Rear disc Brakes, somewhat respectable interior which is some cases it better than some competitors. LOL Hear that Yaris??? Best going for the SX trim which looks far better with its large alloy wheels, better interior quality, & other options I did not like how unrefined the engine sounded when revved & so much engine noise intrudes into the cabin along with much engine vibrations. So its not only poor insulation but also how the engine is mounted. Lower section of the seat was quite flat, rear seat legroom can be cramped. Radio buttons looked so bland & cheap looking along with the ugly hubcaps on the EX trim. No Spare tire but it is optional which is the stupidest thing as theres no weight savings by ridding such a huge necessity.
