Flowmaster Cat-Back Exhaust Install on 2011 GMC Sierra
Installation of a Flowmaster Force II Cat-Back Exhaust (#817523) on a 2011 GMC Sierra.
I made this video because I was researching installing one of these on my
truck and I couldn't find anything for a GM Truck. I saw some Mustangs, some Camaros, some Ford trucks, etc.
But nobody had documented what it would be like for a GM truck. So here
you go. All in all, it was pretty easy and only took a couple hours. I
can't promise how close they are, but the instructions and kit were for
2007-2012 GM Trucks. So this would most likely apply to them as well, with
perhaps a few deviations.
Also, sorry for the fact that it's all close ups, but when your truck is on
ramps and your lying underneath it you can only zoom out so far.
[15 Oct 13] One more thing as a note on warranties. Here is a snippet
from the Flowmaster FAQ:
"There are some modifications that have the potential to void a vehicle's
factory warranty, but modifying the Exhaust system after the catalytic converter is
not one of them. All Flowmaster Exhaust systems are designed vehicle specific
and do not violate manufacturers factory warranty. If you're having
problems regarding this issue, please contact www.sema.org for more
information regarding consumer's rights on performance aftermarket parts."

A quick look at porting and polishing the throttle body on my 2007 Chevy

straight piped 2000 silverado 4.8l drive off
My truck driving off, didnt want to leave a black mark by my buddies house
look for better video in the future. My 2000 Silverado with a 4.8L. it has
a Jet performance programmer, E3 spark plugs, Taylor 8.2mm wires, Airaid
intake tube, Eagle alloy rims and Kumho AT tires and dual cat-back Exhaust with out mufflers
Chevy Silverado Stock Exhaust vs Gibson Dual Exhaust
2011 Chevy silverado 5.3l Exhaust
test. Stock vs gibson dual extreme. I'm really happy with the gibson, it
gives a really nice low tone. You can't really tell in this video, it
sounds much better in person. I will post a takeoff video or something
similar soon maybe that will give you a better image. Thanks for watching!
2008 Silverado Corsa Exhaust
Corsa Sport Exhaust on 4.8L Silverado.
Truck has Performance Intake and Edge Programmer.
Video was taken literally 15 min after install. Should sound throatier
Don't put crap on your ride. Go with the best... get a CORSA system.
Making your V6 truck sound the best
A comparison of my old *Flowmaster Single chamber race series mufflers* and
my current *Flowmaster OUTLAW mufflers*. The video doesn't do complete
justice for either, around 3 1/2-4 RPM and above the Race series got very
raspy and high (sounding more like a V6). The OUTLAWS keep their tone very
well at even 4-5 RPM and have an awesome sound. The race series rumbled
much different at idle and 2-3 RPM has a smooth tone, but after that
sounded a little to raspy and got high pitched. The OUTLAWS all around
sound fantastic and probably the most close your going to get to a V8.
Borla GMPP Touring Muffler for 2007.5 - 2013 Sierra / Silverado
Installed a Borla GMPP Performance stainless muffler for a GMC Sierra and
this is a little sound byte to hear what you'd be getting if you were to
order one. I had the catback system on my 2007 and loved it. In the new
Sierra, just ordered a muffler to install. It seems that the tone is a bit
deeper and a bit smoother than a Dyno max or Magna Flo muffler
system. GM used to include these performance Exhausts in their accessories division and have
since stopped offering them as well as other great performance parts. It's
a shame as these are great upgrades to the Sierra/Silverado truck line-up.
