2005 Pontiac GTO FUN
So my Dad bought a GoPro for Christmas.... Told him I'd make sure it works.
So I took it out for some fun and a little cruise around town, finished
with a little quarter mile run. Enjoy!

70 Double Blown GTO
My 1970 GTO with two blowers. It's 474ci Pontiac engine with a 8-71 blower
on top of a 6-71 blower. This is from the last day of being double blown.
I'm going to one single 8-71 blower and going racing. The front clip was
removed to make it easier to work on. The reason for the double blowers was
not as a power enhancement like many ASSume. I stacked the blowers to have
a car that stood out in the crowd. Most Pro Street cars were starting to
blend together. If you seen one, you had seen them all. That wasn't the
case with this GTO. Al someone had to say was "The double blower GTO" and
people knew which car. I was told it couldn't be done, so I attempted it
and it worked. It stayed that way for almost 2 years. I knew a twin turbo setup would make more HP. I knew I could
have run a 14-71 blower and made more power. That wasn't the point. I
wanted to be different than the other cars in the parking lot, I did that
now it's time to ove on. For all those people who don't understand why,
I'm not going to try and explain it to you anymore. Get over it. I didn't
expect EVERYONE to love it. But you won't forget it.
1969 Pontiac GTO Convertible For Sale
More pics at www.austinclassiccars.net. Whether you are looking for a
collector quality GTO or an investment grade classic, you've found it.
While this car is a higher dollar classic it is a bargain at this price.
This is a PHS documented numbers matching car. The 400ci motor has only
about 200 miles on a professional performance rebuild which cost over
7500.00 The original YS block was bored .040 over and the number #62
heads were treated to a valve job and were mildy ported. A new 400
stock crank with forged pistons were installed. The cam is a 230/236 comp
cams custom grind to allow for more vacuum for braking. The Rochester
Quadrajet carb has been rebuilt specific to engine specs and I replaced the
points distributor with HEI. (I still have the points distributor and it
comes with the car). GTO's are beautiful, but most 400's are tired and
poorly tuned. This setup is producing 475 hp and is a blast to drive mated
to a TH 400 and a 3.55 rear. Sometimes spins posi, sometimes not. The
motor leaks no fluids, runs cool, and is low maintenance.
While the car is a standard 350 horsepower 400, the factory
correct Ram Air III setup was added professionally. This means it has an
upper and lower pan, a pull cable and bracket, functional scoops,
operational flapper doors, pre-heat shroud and tube. It is fully
operational and looks fantastic.
While this wasn't an original factory option the car has 22 of those making
it highly optioned. Some of the coolest options are the hood tach, wood
wheel, Exhaust tips, trunk release,
shoulder belts, remote mirror, disc brakes, am/fm radio, electric antenna
and an 8-track. See PHS docs for a full list.
You can't beat this color combo of Mayfair Maize, parchment interior and
black top. It is beautiful and really pops. The body is laser straight
and rust free. The paint is very deep and has few flaws. There is a run
on the rear spoiler, the bumper will need to be repainted as my garage door
hit it (see pics) and there is 2" gouge on the paint. Easy repair. Other
than that the paint is perfect. It looks as good from 10" as is does from
10 feet. All the chrome is nice with no pitting. All weatherstrip is in
This GTO is unmolested. While it has been painted and the motor rebuit,
the car has never been off the frame. The frame is nice, but the body
should eventually come off if you plan to make this a show car.
The front seats have recently been recovered, the dash is uncracked and
the carpet is ORIGINAL. I replaced buttons and chrome interior trim from
time to time so most of it is also new. The original radio works sometimes
and sometimes not. Bottom line is the fit and finish on this GTO is second
Most cars you will find even in this price range will require at least 10k
to make it the way you want it. This car requires very little and is set
up the way you want a classic GTO to be set up.
