NZV8 TV S3 Episode 7 - Thunder in the Park, Drag Combat, Kayne Scott race car - Part 1
On this week's show we head out to the Thunder in the Park event at Pukekohe where we take a good look at some of the muscular metal taking part. We check out Colin Meadow's C4 Corvette, Graham Barnes' GT2 V8 Ford Capri and plenty of others. We go onboard in Kayne Scott's V8 race car, which is now the fastest circuit racing saloon car in New Zealand, and have a scorching hot lap around Pukekohe. From circuit racing to the strip, where we go to Fram Autolite Dragway and catch the action from Drag Combat. We watch as the best cars from the V8 scene battle against the fastest imports. We take a special look at Wayne Yearbury's awesome 6-second doorslammer.

Zakspeed Ford turbo Capri beim AvD Oldtimer GP 2012 auf dem Nürburgring. Peter Zakowski fährt das Original Meisterschaftsauto von 1981, mit dem Klaus Ludwig damals gewann. Das Fahrzeug ist mit dem kleinen Motor der Division 2 bestückt mit 1,4l Hubraum. In beiden Rennen sah Zakowski die Zielflagge wegen technischer Probleme nicht. Im Rennen 1 bedrängt er Oliver Mathai im Porsche 935 und im Rennen 2 räumt er binnen kürzester Zeit das Feld von hinten auf. Sowohl nach dem Training als auch nach dem ersten Rennen wurde am Fahrzeug umfangreich gearbeitet. Der Ladedruck ist noch nicht eingestellt und deshalb hat P.Zakowski die Hand häufiger mal am "Dampfrad". Vom turbo Capri wurden insgesamt fünf Fahrzeuge gebaut. Ein Fahrzeug wurde zerstört, eines zu einem Mustang umgebaut, ein Fahrzeug wurde von Herbert Stenger bei Bergrennen eingesetzt, ein Fahrzeug baut Stefan Mücke in Berlin wieder auf und hier eben das 1981er Meisterschaftsauto bei Zakspeed. onboard race1 at 05:35 onboard race 2 at 12:14

Ford Capri Mk1 - 160 Hp - Pinto Race Engine
My Capri mk1 GT with Pinto engine and Brainless Exhaust System 3" Selfmade with Hks Muffler and Fk dumper and Magnaflow with Race Headers. Sounds great for an Pinto OHC Engine. Stainless Steel. The engine is modified by my self and have a lot of horsepower. Never was on the roll, but i Dragraced again a Bmw E36 325 with 192Hp and I was faster by 1 second on the 1/4 Mile. Crazy Sound with Wheelspin in 2. Gear. On the Hockenheim Race Track the car beats a Maserati Biturbo and some old Porsche 911. The Car is Street Legal. Tyres are Federal SS595 with 205/60 R13 - great tyres for a good price. In future the car maybe become a capri turbo with a k04 turbocharger. The engine is a ohc pinto like in the escort mk2 rs2000 rally cars. but no 16v cosworth engine and no 1800rs. It could be good to drive rallyes too to be an rally car. the cars weight is only 890kg ;-) so the handling is really great! I wishI could buy the Federal 595 RS-R in the right dimension.
