2010 Corvette ZR1 versus 2008 Dodge Viper ACR, Viper slides off track
Here is a video of my 2010 Corvette ZR1 versus a 2008 Dodge Viper ACR at
Harris Hill Road Raceway in San Marcos, Texas. I chase the Viper until he
slides off the track and sets the grass on fire. Fire Department had to
come out and extinguish the grass fire (oops). Listen to the rocks bounce
off my car...that is the real ouch!
COTA full track session - 2010 Corvette ZR1
Driver's Edge event January 13, 2013. Last session of the day. My fast
lap of the day was towards the end of the session when I started chasing
and then passed the gray Nissan GT-R. 2010 Corvette ZR1 with Motul brake
fluid and Michelin racing slicks. Otherwise stock.
Road America Track Day 2012 - Z06 Corvette In Car
Z06 Corvette in car video taken from a Road America track day. The track
was rented by the Northwoods Shelby Club and this was my first time driving
on the Road America track. The Z06 is completely stock with the original
Goodyear runflats (terrible tires) and has Hawk pads. Enjoy
ZR1 Corvette at Speed Ventures Track Day Auto Club Speedway11/19/2011
Mike C in his 2010 Corvette ZR1 is getting faster on the track at Auto Club Speedway in
Fontana, CA. He has peeled off over three seconds from his best lap times
in his stock ZR1 with stock Michelin Pilot Cup rubber on the car. He is
braking harder and later into the turns and he has very good throttle
control coming out of the turns. I didn't ask him if he was turning off the
throttle control at the track but from listening to the excellent stereo Exhaust note coming from the video I
can't notice much wheel spin as he exits his corners, good job Mike.
The next time I see you at the track, I can show you a comparison of your
seperate lap telemetry information on my laptop. This is a great tool to
review and see the places on track where you can pick up even more time on
You are really improving as a driver and you are handling the ZR1 extremely
well so let's use the telemetry data to see just where you can safely push
the car a bit more and get you into the sub 1:50 lap time range!!!
See you soon,
ZR1 Track Session: Motorsport Ranch Cresson 3.1 9-11-11
ZR1 Track Session with Driver's Edge (www.thedriversedge.net), bone stock
down to PS2 tires besides Motul brake fluid. Check out a crazy slide at
10:45. I couldn't figure out how I lost control there until I looked at
the track surface. It appears to be a trail of oil splatter right where my
right tires drove over. Not good. Luckily, car was undamaged.
'11 ZR1 Corvette Running at Grandsport Speedway Houston
A few laps at the Grandsport Speedway Houston, clockwise horse shoe
included. My first day out the track with my ZR1. Good track surface. I run
1:05.90 (not on video unfortunately) while with the gold group. (the video
is the silvergroup which was only 2 cars including mine and really not much
challenge). The vehicle is equipped with sunset orange Exhaust commander module on video running with
the Exhaust open. Very happy with the
functionality of it. Good product. Here is their site if you are
No I am not associated with them.
ZR1 @ MSR Cresson 3.1m Track CCW 2:27.9
I can see a few points for improvement. Did the whole course on 3rd Gear.
Maybe can benefit from a downshift at a couple of points. Turn 10 can be
taken more efficiently and so is the sequence of turns before the
toilet-bowl. Also As James pointed out not taking advantage of the run out
entering the front straight. Dave perfect pass signal. Did my best lap
chasing you. Looking forward to running with you again. 1.6gs max puled at
toilet-bowl. 123.3 top speed at the start finish line (not on my fastest
lap...). Best possible lap 2:12.118 according to aim software/RS2 taking
the best section times and adding them up.
Putnam Park track day with my Z06 Corvette - July 19, 2005
In car video from my 2001 Z06 Corvette at an open track day at Putnam Park
road course in Mt. Meridian, Indiana (West of Indianapolis). Great shots of
my friend Sam and his 2001 Viper GTS, also another red Z06, a Ferrari 360,
a supercharged silver Z06 and others.
Z06 with Hoosiers hangs with ZR1
09' Z06 hangs with 09' ZR1 on buttonwillow raceway's west loop including
lost hill and sweeper. also see "09 ZR1 now following 09 Z06"... ZR1 stock
with 2 passengers. Z06 stock with Hoosier rs6 tires and 2 passengers. was
about 80 degrees. averaged about 97 mph/lap. top speed between 125-135mph
in 3 parts of the track. both cars got about 6mpg on 100 octane race gas.
got about 80 laps on the 1.8 mile track.... give or take a few laps. no
problems. 1st track day with both cars. sorry for poor quality... will
improve camera mounting on future track days.
