Custom 1972 Pontiac Firebird - V8 sound!
Jamboolio records a fully restored 1972 Pontiac Firebird with an 350 cid 5.7L V8 engine and a stunning new paint job. The monstrous hood scoops and huge air vents added to the all black exterior makes it a very bad-ass looking muscle car beast! The Exhaust sound is pretty awesome too! Enjoy. 3rd third gen firebird trans am headlight motor gear repair
This is part 1 of the replacement process for the 3 gel inserts inside the motor assembly of my 89 WS6 Trans Am 51k, driver side. (passenger side is easier u don't have to separate motor, same thru 87-92 I believe) 95% of the time its these inserts crumbling that creates the problems with the pop up headlights. Could also be the headlight control board having a bad soder connection. It's mounted on the firewall with a bracket behind the brake Booster. Has 2 electrical clips going in it and says GUIDE on it. (I removed mine and resodered connections, not my prob.) Lastly your motor is bad. I bought a repair kit with the replacement plastic inserts and gaskets. You can use 3 - 1/4" thread 7/16" steel nuts instead or 7/16" OD rubber water or fuel line is another option. Be careful with your gaskets n u could reuse them. Be prepared to drill out 2 small bolts for drivers side fix, steel bolts on an aluminum housing = breakage. But at least it's off car/handheld n pretty easy to do. (my kit came with 2 nuts/bolts for replacement) Have to do this in parts, no comp., only phone, my first YouTube vids, be gentle thirdgen.org great ref. site, best headlight fix post I've seen; http://www.thirdgen.org/techboard/body/585236-great-info-fixing-headlight.h tml#post5281261
