2013 BMW M550d (381hp) - 0-250 km/h acceleration (1080p FULL HD)
This week I took a 2013 BMW M550d (F10) for a Autobahn spinn, with its world first 6-cylinder Tri-turbo Diesel (381hp, 740Nm) supported by 8-speed ZF and xDrive system. The outcome: Well, its hard to describe. Once you have driven the first meters you instantly feel the weight of the car. It feels comfortable and heavy, almost like a 7-series. At low revs and in comfort mode there is nothing that distinguishes this car from, lets say a 530d. But once you hit sport mode and press the gas all the way through it is just amazing how this big ole bus rockets aways from anything else on the road. I can just tell you, it is all about the torque!!! From 0-100 could have gone quicker if I had used launch control, but how this car acceleraes from 160 - 260 is unrivalled, at least in the diesel class.
