~ 700hp Turbo Saab, 312kmh (194mph)
Extreme turbo Saab + 300 kmh
Many viewers have misunderstood this video, so I explain it a little:
-Speed at finish line (1mile/1609m) is measured. Time is not measured.
-First Saab does 1st and 2nd gear with ~half throttle. Second Saab has
limited Boost for 1st and 2nd gear.
- three extra seconds between 0-100kmh typically means ~30meters wasted.
But three extra seconds used in speeds close to 300kmh, means almost
Here is equally powerful RWD cars (if not even more HP's) These RWD's are a
lot faster between 0-150kmh, but
these Saabs are faster from
150kmh-300kmh. You get the point when you compare speeds at finish line.
-A Saab 9-5 driver pushes a little too much throttle @3rd gear and looses
traction. He lifts a throttle and pushes it back, but too much again and
then he gears up 4th, a bit earlier than planned. (optimal is@205kmh).
Earlier that summer I broke one gearbox when pushing too hard on 3rd gear.
With new gearbox and at later event, I drove very gently on first three
gears to avoid breaking it again. I pushed WOT for the first time on 4th
gear @ 190kmh. You can hear it clearly on following video. Engine tone
changes totally around 200kmh. Incar video is from 299kmh pull (at 1 mile
race) Something happened to camera during the run. So I didn't get any
incar video from a 305kmh pull. To see that run from the start line, please
see my other videos.
Here is incar video until camera dies. Start is @1min.
Nissan 350z mot Saab 9-3 aero BSR steg 3
Motorvägen i mörkret, start 70 i timmen. Saab på 2an, Nissan på 3an .
Vi kom upp i 240 i timmen innan vi skulle svänga av, och som vanligt vid
rullande start...Saaben vann.
Fixing Saab 9-5 Security System Problems -EricTheCarGuy
Visit me at: http://www.ericthecarguy.com/
As I said in the video the owner brought me this car along with the
supposed fix. The symptoms were an intermittent no start and a message on
the dash indicating a security system problem. Apparently this is a common
problem with Saabs of this vintage and the problem is usually linked to
this siren/security module. Apparently the batteries go bad in the unit
causing it to act up intermittently. In this video I show the steps needed
to replace the module, it's actually a very easy job that does not require
a lot of tools. So if you have an issue with the security system on a Saab
of this vintage you might want to give this fix a try.
Here's the ebay store link to the company that rebuilds the modules.

Saab 93 Turbo X quick drive
I fall in love with this car everytime I drive it. For people who hate
Saab, drive one. I'm sure you'll change your mind.
2011 Saab 9-5 Aero Turbo6 XWD Start Up, Engine, and In Depth Tour
In this video I give a full in depth tour of the 2011 Saab 9-5 Aero.
Released as a late 2010 model, the 2011 now boasts a panoramic glass roof
along with the great redesign. Overall makes the car have a much more
stately appearance and further set it in a more sport/luxury sedan class.
I take viewers on a close look through the interior and exterior of this
car while showing details, over viewing of features, and noting unique
styling cues to the vehicle itself. I also show the engine and the details
of it, start it up and see how it sounds under acceleration. A thorough
tour/review of this car designed to give others a greater overall
appreciation of the vehicle.
How to Add an AUX Input to a Saab 9-3
This video shows how to add an AUX input jack to a 2003 or newer Saab 9-3.
Before doing this you might want to look in your center armrest and see if
there's one there already. I had one, I just didn't know it. Oh well... I
like the location of this one better anyway. My car is a 2006. I don't know
what year Saab started adding the AUX input in the armrest, but some of the
earlier cars didn't have them.
Anyway, now I have TWO AUX inputs! :-)
If your car is a 2003 through 2005, go here to see how to connect the wires
directly to the pins on the back of the stereo:
Beautiful Swedish car, SAAB 9-5.
I am really into SAAB cars; I own a 2003 9-3 that I am very fond of. I put
together this video, from different clips, for the new Saab 9-5. I think
the new 9-5 is very stylish in design and sporty in performance. I am
seriously considering buying one and when I do I will be sure to make a
video to share how I feel about Saab's great cars
Nordschleife Saab 9-3 Aero onBoard 01.07.2012 - Lap 4
- Saab 9-3 Aero SC -- 2.8V6 T, everything stock (250BHP)
- Continental SportContact 5 225/45/18 tires (What a crap tire... will
never buy Continental again!)
- Panasoni c Lumix DMC-TZ10 (Video and audio)
- Samsung Galaxy S2 (GPS and OBDII using ALapRecorder application)
- OBDlink MX (OBD data)
- ALapRecorder HD for generating overlay graphs
- 01.07.2012 at 17:17
- 10:18 lap time
Featured cars (in no particular order):
- Volvo S60
- Renault Megane Wagon
- Audi A3
- Renault Clio (2x)
- Porsche GT2/3 RS (4x)
- BMW M1 (2x)
- BMW series 3 (2x)
- Renault Alpine
- This was my 4th lap and also the slowest due to the large amounts of
traffic and a yellow flag situation after Adenauer Forst -- around 3:48
into the video till 05:05.
- You can listen to me complaining about the traffic and two particular
cars that did not want to be overtaken: The white Renault Clio (he doesn't
lift to let me pass after Adenauer Forst even though I was clearly faster) and the Renault Megane Wagon
(Using all the track and tried to close me when I was already on his side
after the Carroussel -- that is when I rang the horn). In the video, due to
lens distortion, you cannot really make how near I was to the cars in
front, but trust me, I just chose not to attack and risk.
- The track is dangerous enough as is, so I don't get it why people "defend
positions"... I had no problems to let cars that were remotely faster past me, but there were a lot of
nutters that thought they were in a race... My number one objective was to
drive home again in the same car I got there with so... no point in taking
stupid risks. No awards at the end!
- The logging software went borked on me so I only managed to get logs for
the last lap -- there are 3 other laps on video coming up soon, and all
those are sub-10 min laps.
If you have video footage of my car, please let me know! :)
This is an outside photo of the car going around:
