1997 Nissan 2.4L Intake Gasket Replacement (Part 1) -EricTheCarGuy
In a way this is a sequel to the Nissan Altima Misfire Diagnosis Video. It would have been a REALLY long video if I posted both together. In fact I had to split this video into 2 parts as it is. This job isn't for the weak at heart. It took me most of the day to get it done. Most of the issues involve accessibility to the fasteners. Some are stuck down in there pretty good. I'm told this is a common issue with the 2.4L engine so you may run into this at some point. If you decide to do the repair yourself, this video can walk you through the process. For now, sit back, and watch me suffer. Here's some useful links for you. Nissan 350z Apexi Intake Air Filter Change
Apexi Intake Air Filter Change on a Nissan 350z 2005 VQ35DE, Stock 350z airbox its very well designed, its better to keep original than changing for air intakes that usually suck hot air from inside or engine bay, losing power. The best its to change only the OEM air Filter for a High Performance one. Keep in mind that Air filter like these apexi are the best, because they don't use oil for filtering like K&N ones, saving your Cars MAF long term. These filters like these apexi are not washable, change it from 20k kms or less depending on your driving and weather... Cold air Intakes that direct air directly from outside are more efficient, but keep in mind that these intakes are not suitable when raining etc.. Hope you enjoyed

1997 Nissan 2.4L Intake Gasket Replacement (Part 2) -EricTheCarGuy
Here is the sequel to the Nissan Altima Intake Gasket Replacement video. If you missed part one, here's a link. Part 1: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GKFJxnn4IIQ This all started with the Nissan Misfire Diagnosis video. In that video I found that the intake gasket on this 2.4L Nissan was leaking at cylinder #4. It's been a difficult job so far but I think we have it licked. Reading through the comments it seems this is a common issue on this engine. I hope you're able to use the information in this video to help you should you run into the same issue. Here's some useful links for you including one to the diagnosis video.
