5th Scale BurnOut Time! FG Dragster Test Runs
Finally, I'm taking my FG Dragster out for a testrun. The dragster is powered by a BZM 28.5 Torque Tuned engine which I dropped in a FG Sportsline 2WD. I've converted my Sportsline chassis to a 1970's Dodge Challenger, with lots of custom parts. In the video series you will be able to follow this build from the very start, to the point where it will finally start burning some rubber! The custom servo setup works great, the BZM has massive torque, and I love running this scaled down muscle car! A few alterations will be made in the future, such as a bit thicker diff oil, and perhaps a different clutch to make it engage a bit more aggressively. For a first run, I was more than satisfied and this ride is everything I hoped it to be. Making a Wheelie Bar and Dragracing Tires - FG Dragster
I'm working on my next project, another largescale onroad car. It's an FG Sportsline 2WD 530. This car is going to be turned into a 1970 Dodge Challenger! Today I'm making my own wheelie bar and a custom set of rear tires. I couldn't find any scale looking wheelie bars for this monster-to-be, so I decided to construct my own. I took some Axial balljoints and rodends, that I had as spares. These parts, listed in the links below, are intended for the 4-link suspension setup of the Axial SCX10. By adding some M4 threaded rods, slid into some 6mm aluminium tubing, I can line the whole construction up for my needs. I added a modified bodypost from the same parts tree to mount the top to the rear shocktower. On the rear, I slid some of the aluminium tubing through the 4 rodends to connect them, and used an Axial winchblock to act as a "wheel" in between them. The functionality of the wheelie bar is not as important as the look. And, I wanted to keep the cost low. A wheelie bar like this will end up costing you around 20 dollar. Axial balljoints: http://www.axialracing.com/products/ax80018 Axial rodends: http://www.axialracing.com/products/ax80005 Axial winchblock: http://www.axialracing.com/products?utf8=%E2%9C%93&keywords=80102 The tires I want to use on the rear need to have a larger diameter. I sourced a set of rear 5th scale Formula 1 rims and tires, that I drill and dremel out to fit to my Centerline rims. A link to the tires can be found here: https://www.fg-onlineshop.de/ItemBlock.aspx?ig3=Reifen&ig2=Formel+1+Reifen& ig3id=23&ig2id=100&mi=0&webi=1 This build is going to have a ton of special features, a few of them rather unique, and I will take you through the whole build process step by step so if you want to, you can follow along. Make sure to subscribe to see what the 2WD will turn into, so far I can reveal this much: it will pack a true punch, will represent an icon of it's era, and will be unlike any RC you have ever seen before! For more information about the FG Sportsline, visit the FG Modellsport webstore: https://www.fg-onlineshop.de/ To see more pictures of the diecast engine I used for this build, check this link: http://libertyclassics.com/ And to purchase one, or have a look at ton of diecast models, visit Tom's site: http://www.toms.nl/ For more information about HemiStorm Products feel free to join us on FaceBook: https://www.facebook.com/home.php#!/pages/HemiStorm-Products/23658549638024 1 To visit the HemiStorm website and have a look at the products we develop for largescale RC cars, click the following link: http://www.hemistorm.com/ Intro music purchased at Productiontrax.com License Option B: Commercial, for-profit, distribution, or broadcast, all Packages, and Photos

Take a ride along in a Camaro at SCT OKC's Drag Race day as it effortlessly pulls the wheels for the first 100 feet of the track. Very simple setup, very fun results. Not sure if I'd enjoy the giant wheelie or winning the race more, but he had to choose one at this race!
