PLEASE NOTE! I filmed this with my ipod nano and i had it upside down so it
mirrored everything for some reason. It's really weird...so everything is
opposite of where it should be in the video. For example, in the video it
appears that my coil pack and spark plug wires are on the left but they are
on the right in real life, so just try and picture your motor. Never gonna
film upside down again lol...
Also, after putting it all back together and driving, It lacked power and I
quickly got a CEL/code for cam timing over retarded or over advanced. I
thought I had done something wrong but I decided to try one more thing
before tearing into it again. I replaced the VCT solenoid which is the
little cylinder/tower on the side near the cam gears. It controls when the
cam timing advances in high rpms with oil pressure. Anyways, I replaced it
and bam, no more check engine light and power was back. The intake runners
(IMRC) were switching over at high rpm's every time again. Sounds awesome.
So I did do everything right and it turns out it was the vct solenoid the
whole time. A friend and I were curious as to why the old one was not
working and after removing it we connected it to a 12v battery with wire
leads going to the 2 metal tabs on the vct solenoid's connector to give it
power and it was not moving very much. Something inside it moves but it was
sticking/seizing. It lasted over 100,000 miles though so I wasn't mad at it
lol. I might have been able to save it by leaving it in brake/carb/parts
cleaner overnight to free it up but I just bought a new one for about $80.
Focus SVT w/ Lentech ATX & 2.3 Stroker Tuning 1
http://www.racingpartssolution.com on March 23, 2012
This my SVT converted to use an automatic transmission. During these runs,
the tuner was getting the shift pressures corrected for hard pulls.
Tuning was never finished due to a faulty VCT Delete. Which ever comes
first; a new built non-SVT head, or an adaptor to fix the issue, the car
will be fixed for a final tune.
For those wondering, it's an automatic because I'm a quadriplegic. I've
had the car for 9 years now since before my injury.

Far better driver in the S2000. Carrying much more speed into and through
the corners, Porsche obviously pulls away on the straights.

Honda S2000 vs Ford Focus ST
Same ST vs a bolt on/tuned Civic Si Coupe - http://youtu.be/BevhgVLgMjQ
Some friendly runs with a pretty much stock 2005 Honda S2000. Big thanks to
the owner for coming out on such short notice. The only power mods this
S2K has is a straight pipe Exhaust. I
was curious to see how my stock 2013 Ford Focus ST would do against one.
We were both surprised at the results!

Desert Proofing the Ford Raptor! - Dirt Every Day Episode 2
On this episode of Dirt Every Day, Fred Williams up fits and outfits one of
the coolest 4x4's on the market today, the Ford Raptor. Raptors are high
performance desert machines, but we found one that earns it's owner a
living each week banging around on an obscure desert compound. The owner
is hard on his equipment and we took this poor bird of prey under our wing
for a week to transform it into a more vicious desert predator.
Dirt Every Day appears every other Thursday on the Motor Trend channel.
