a brief walk around and Exhaust clip of my 2000 silverado 5.3 step side. mods are k&n filter, 3" Exhaust piping with off road y pipe to a flowmaster 40 series muffler with tips dumped on each side of the bed and a custom dixie tune with westers software.
Chevy Silverado 5.3L Flowmaster 40 Series Dual Catback Exhaust
Catback kit is a Flowmaster Force II kit Part No: 817492 on Flowmasters website
this kit came with a 50 series single in dual out which i swapped with a 40 series to make it louder it is a single 3" in dual 2.5" out original 40 series muffler. This kit is all 409 stainless and is a clamp on kit, no wielding required. If you have any questions just ask.
5.3 straight pipes
Nothing that hasn't been seen or heard before, just an 02 silverado 5.3 with no mufflers and y-piped after cats, tips are 3.5 x 18 inches. another video with throttle body spacer and CAI soon to come

2010 Silverado 5.3L with Flowmaster 40 Series
Be sure to listen to this video on a good set of speakers. I watched my video for the first time on a laptop and you loose a lot.
Stock muffler replaced by Flowmaster 40 Series Original (430402) muffler. Single in/dual out with both oulets turned down just after the muffler. No other mods to Exhaust or engine. Most of the sound is at idle and pulling away. On the highway in 6th gear it's only slightly louder than stock. If you're pulling a trailer and find yourself in 5th or lower it can howl a bit, but nothing that prevents you from talking normally.

Flowmaster Super 40 vs Super 44?
This is my Silverado. I am debating installing the Super 40's or the Super 44's. What do you think?
The engine is a 86-95 350ci block, four bolt mains, roller cam. Bored .040"
ZZ4 rotating assembly, Speed Pro H345NCP-40 pistons
10.7:1 static compression, .032" Quench/Squish height.
Patriot 'Vortec' 185cc heads, 2.02"/1.6" valves, Beehive springs.
Comp XR276HR-10 cam, 1.52 rockers.
Air-Gap dual plane, 1" four hole tapered spacer, Mighty Demon 750cfm annular Boosters.
MSD ignition, Summit dist dialed in for 36 degrees @ 3000rpm. 18 degrees initial. +12 vacuum advance on manifold vacuum.
