2007-2012 Yukon Denali Rear Door Lock Actuator Replacement
Rear door lock actuator replacement done on a 2009 GMC Yukon Denali. This
process should be identical for Silverado, Avalanche, Yukon, Escalade, and
Denali vehicles, years 2007 through 2012. I purchased via GM Parts Direct,
supply your VIN to verify your parts. The US made vs Mexico made vehicles
have different parts. I paid about $100 for each actuator, and the dealer
quoted near to $200. Dealer quoted 1.5 hours labor per door, it took me
about 25 minutes.

We applied TC Black Fusion to the side panels of a newer Chevrolet
Avalanche to address the faded and tiger striped plastic. The end result
was great. Technician's Choice Black Fusion was created to address the
issues concerning fading, chalky, discolored vehicle exterior trim pieces.
Pieces like fender flares, bumper, step bumper, bed liner (scratched,
weathered and stained), tonneau cover, RV trim, car carrier, or any exposed
faded plastic, vinyl or rubber. TC Black Fusion cures at room temperature
in approximately 90 minutes. Great for the restoration of faded plastic,
vinyl, polystyrene rubber and polyvinyl chloride. Lasts up to one year and
protects against acid rain, sun damage, chalking and detergents. Easy to
apply last up to 1 year VOC complaint.
Update 12/13/2010 -- TC Black Fusion will not be available with a sprayer
top. It will only be available with a flip top for easier dispensing and
to avoid the issues with a clogging sprayer. Simply flip the top open and
dispense TC Black Fusion onto a clean applicator and apply. Thanks.
2015 Chevrolet Tahoe LTZ - WR TV POV Test Drive
While we enjoyed our time in the all-new 2015 Cadillac Escalade, its that
luxury SUV's blue-collared, trailer-pulling cousin, the Chevrolet Tahoe
(and its long wheelbase variant, the Suburban), that will really steer the
course for this generation of GM's full sized sport utilities.
This week we get up close and behind the wheel of the all-new Tahoe LTZ.
Boasting a direct-injected 5.3-liter V8 that generates 355 horsepower and 383lb-ft of
torque, here in 4WD configuration the Tahoe has a rated towing capacity of
8400 pounds while maintaining a respectable fuel economy rating of 16 city
and 22 highway.
Featuring GM's Magnetic Ride Control suspension system, HID headlights and
a fully automatic locking rear differential, the best selling full size SUV
on the market continues to improve on an already successful platform. But
while facts and figures are great, seeing it in action is even better.
