1971 MINI Cooper 1380
This is the ad when I bought the car.It is now in the Kentucky and registered to me.
Hi guys and welcome to my auction for my 1971 Mini which, since I bought her in november 2006 has undergone a complete transformation.
I finished the majority of the car in January when it was taxed and MOT'd but since then due to work commitments I have had Little opportunity to get to any Mini Shows or really enjoy the car so i have decided to sell her.
OK here goes....................
Engine
When i bought the car it had a 1275 engine which was very tired!!!!
Now it has:
1380 Stage 2 with an 1" 3/4 Hiff Carb which was built by Jonspeed Mini's for the car in Septemeber 2007.
New Electronic Distributor, Coil, Leads and Plugs
The Mini has recently been tuned by RPL carburettor and injection centre in Leicester and is running spot on - very nippy.
The engine is in mint condition and is still in a running in period as it has not done any more than 400 miles.
Bodywork
De Bumbered front and Back by Mini Madness in Leicester.
De seamed around the head lights and front of the car - not filled but welded.
New A panels which have been de seamed into the wings. The de seaming stops at the wing mirror - Looks the business.
New Doors off a Sportspack Mini, there is no bubbling or rust on the doors and they have the side impact bars for extra protection.
Group 7 Arches
New Bootlid which as been smoothed out and the number plate moved - whic can be seen in the pictures.
New Paint work by GT Bodyworks in Leicester. British Racing Green and Black - paint work is only 10 months old and looks great.
Mk 1 Grill with Moustache surround
New door handles
New chrome Boot Hinges
New Chrome Sill brightwork
New front and back windscreens and seals
Interior
Full Cream Leather Interior - door cards, rear cards etc
Custom Made Padded Black Leather Dashboard with Oil, Volts and Clock gauges.

The wheels are 13 x 7 Superlites in Black
The front 2 tyres are Pirelli's which have not done more than 300 miles and the Rear's are Yokoham's which excellent tread on them.
Exhaust
The car used to have a centre exit Exhaust which i have recently changed for a side exit sportex Exhaust with full new LCB Manifold.
I.C.E
Head Unit - Kenwood CD Player
Speakers - Dashboard Polk Speakers, Pioneer 6 x 9's Under rear seat,
Amplifier - Rockford Fosgate.
Wiring - there is all the wiring inplace for a sub woofer if this is to your liking. The amp is currently not powering anything, but is ready too.
Bad Point.
There is a small tear in the headlining by the rear view mirror as shown in the photo's I just want to be totally honest to whoever will be bidding on the car. For a car that is coming up to 38 years old she is a real head turner and does put a smile on your face.
There is some new damage that occurred in its travel to the states I have included this damage in the pics the fiberglass hood has cracks in the paint (u can only tell when you are close up.) the trunk lid where the original tag was smoothed over has started to crack. On the driver and passenger front there is small crack in paint.
