AUDI A8 has been offered with both front- or permanent all-wheel
drive—and in short- and long-wheelbase variants. After the original AUDI
A8 model's 1994 release, Audi released the AUDI A8 second generation in
2002, and the AUDI A8 third and current iteration in 2009.
AUDI S8 - Notable for being the first mass-market car with an aluminium
chassis, all A8 models have utilised this construction method co-developed
with Alcoa and marketed as the Audi Space Frame.
AUDI S8 - A mechanically-upgraded, high-performance version of the A8
debuted in 1996 as the Audi S8. AUDI S8 - Produced exclusively at Audi's
Neckarsulm plant, unlike the donor A8 model, the AUDI S8 has been available
only in short-wheelbase form and is fitted standard with Audi's quattro
all-wheel drive system.
Audi introduced the AUDI S8 4.2 quattro into the European market in 1996.
The AUDI S8 followed the naming convention of other high-performance Audi
"S" models such as the Audi A6-derived S6 and was similar in vein of
Mercedes-Benz AMG models. Cosmetically, Audi differentiated the AUDI S8
from the A8 with solid aluminium alloy door mirror housings, chrome-effect
beltline and lower front grille trim, and polished AUDI S8 twin Exhaust pipes.

The One With The 2013 Audi S8! - World's Fastest Car Show Ep. 3.9
It's not your average executive class sedan. Boasting a 0-60 mph time that
puts rivals to shame, the 2013 Audi S8 makes a play for supercar status. As
Justin points out in this week's episode, it's performance is impressive
enough to make you "Stoplight Hero" in any neighborhood.

2014 Audi RS5 vs 2014 Mercedes-Benz C63 507 Coupe! - Head 2 Head Ep. 51
On this episode of Head 2 Head, Jonny Lieberman sets out to discover which
German hot-rod-personal-luxury-coupe is the best you can get. The 507 Coupe
is the last iteration of the W204 C63. With the exception of the very
limited-run Black Series, it's the best C63 that AMG has ever done. Under
its hood sits a hand-built, 6.2-liter naturally aspirated V-8 good for 507
more do you want? Perhaps something more high-tech, and that's where the
Audi RS5 comes in. The sexy coupe from Quattro GmbH in Neckarsulm features
a 4.2-liter V-8 that spits out 450 hp. That¹s less power than the 507
Coupe makes, true, but the Audi also features AWD, a dual-clutch
transmission, bigger wheels and tires, plus a trick torque-vectoring rear
differential. Which one is quicker? Which one is more fun to drive? Which
one is best? Watch and find out!

Audi RS6 vs Ducati 1199 Panigale R - car vs bike track battle
Audi now owns Ducati, so we decided to race the brands' most powerful
models, the Audi RS6 and the Ducati 1199 Panigale R.

Audi now owns Ducati - so we thought it'd be fun to have a track battle
between the most powerful Audi you can order and the most powerful Ducati
you can order.
The 1199 Panigale R has a 1.2-litre V-Twin with 195bhp. There is an even
hotter Superlegera version but it’s sold out, so this R is the most
powerful Ducati you can buy.
The Audi RS6 has a 4.0-litre bi-turbo V8
with 560hp – that’s 10 horses more than an R8 V10 Plus, which is why we
have chosen the estate for this track battle.
Auto Express’s Owen Mildenhall will be in the RS6 while Alastair Fagan
from Fast Bikes magazine will be on the Panigale.
With 1032bhp per tonne the Ducati did 0-60mph in 3.2 seconds and the
standing quarter in 10.5 seconds compared to 4.3 and 12.4 seconds for the
289bhp per tonne Audi.
The bike clearly ruled in a straight line- but let’s see what happens
when we add some corners...
For a two-tonne car it's pretty impressive. It's got loads of grip, and the
fact that the fan was still going a long time after we finished the race is
an indication of how tightly packaged everything is under this bonnet, with
a big V8 in there. There's loads of grip and massive straight-line
performance. It's not the most thrilling car to drive on track because you
can't really do much with it, it's not very adjustable. It just grips and
that's it. You can't disable the stability control either, but there's no
doubting it's really fast.
The bike feels fast no matter what you do and no matter how fast you ride
it, you always think you'll come back to a lap record - but as proven in
the past it's not always correct.
On this occasion, the bike beat the car - but in the car's defence, there's
one thing you can do with it that you can't do with the bike: take the
whole crew out for a hot lap!
