I recently had an issue with my 2006 chevy trailblazer rear hatch not unlocking with the remote. I then noticed that the was no key hole to manually open. After some research I found how to manually unlock from the inside.

Manually unlock a Trailblazer lift gate hatch! Trailblazer SS LS2 Envoy
I recently found the lift gate and rear glass stuck on my Trailblazer SS, I could here the lock trying to unlock but it would not open. Here's how I fixed it. This should also work on the GMC Envoy! 2005 Trailblazer Liftgate Latch Repair
Fixing a faulty liftgate mechanism on my 2005 Trailblazer. Sorry about the poor lighting, but you get what you pay for. Door panel pulls off with ~8 clips or so holding it in place. The only thing that needed to be removed was a small, black plastic rivet near the latch for the glass. Glass had to be open to remove it.
