Since the introduction of the dual mode Exhaust on Corvettes back in 2006, owners have been doing this very simple mod to keep the NPP's butterfly valves open so they can enjoy that deep Exhaust rumble all the time. My 2001 Camaro Z28 has an SLP Lid and SLP LM1 cat-back Exhaust, a 4 speed automatic with 2.73's, 67,000 miles. My friend's 2011 Mustang GT (5.0) is completely stock, a 6 speed manual, with about 20,000 miles. First race: Dig, Mustang misses 3rd gear. Second race: Dig, Mustang short shifts 3rd gear. 3rd race: 30MPH roll. 4th race: 25MPH roll. At the end of the race my friend confesses that he also left his traction control on.
