1972 Pontiac Trans Am 455 HO Four-Speed Muscle Car

I thought you'd like a look at this 1972 Pontiac Trans Am 455 HO. It's equipped with a 455 V8 that's pumping out 300 horsepower and 415 LbFt of torque. All that power is funneled back through a four-speed manual trans to a posi rear end. This really is one of the last great cars of the muscle car era. Under the hood, you'll find the big 6.6 Liter, 403 Cubic Inch V8. The engine has been painted in the correct factory color and really looks immaculate. Inside, the black vinyl interior looks outstanding as well. This is one of the nicest Trans Am's that I've seen in a while. I hope you like it...thanks for watching! Overseas Trans Ams - Restore a Muscle Car & Mike Lavallee
These are two Pro-touring 80 Trans Ams we just finished for two brothers overseas. They both have 650+ HP engines in them, automatic trans, full DSE suspension with mini tubs in the rear, 4-link system and tubular upper and lower control arms in the front. The black "Dragon TA" has a custom flaming dragon that Mike Lavallee from Killer Paint, applied to the car here at our shop in Nebraska. Along with flaming accents to the lettering, and misc. areas on the car. The white TA has a custom decal scheme that Phoenix Graphix helped us implement on an extreme bright white finish. Both cars received full leather interior with suede inserts and custom made billet Year One snowflake wheels (12" width on the rear). 132856 / 1973 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am
For more information on this vehicle visit http://tinyurl.com/cty9h5l This fully sorted 1973 Firebird Trans Am is one of those cars that everyone has asked us to find for the last three years. It's a documented, early F2 'bird which features all original California sheetmetal, a tough 4-speed transmission and, best of all, a highly desirable, numbers matching 455 V8. Assembled at GM's famous Norwood manufacturing facility in November of 1972, this awesome 'big block bird' was shipped across the country to Corey Pontiac in Salinas, California where it began a 35 year existence filled with immaculate maintenance and impeccable care. Today, still wearing all of its original, rust-free body panels, it displays a nice looking coat of GM code 11 Cameo White paint on top of smooth and solid surfaces that have never been damaged in any significant way. Take a look under this Trans Am's new-for-1973 black and blue "Screaming Chicken" hood decal and you'll find an original 455 cubic inch L-75 V8 which wears a correct 485428 casting number, a September (I) 11th (11) of 1972 (2) casting date, a correct 102185 partial VIN and a "ZC" California engine stamp. At 455 cubic inches, the L-75 was already one of the largest engines you could buy in 1973; and by utilizing an undersquare bore and new "4X" heads, it managed to meet ever increasing emissions standards while still turning a solid 8 to 1 compression ratio into 260 horsepower and a stump pulling 370 lb./ft. of torque! At the top of the motor, a reliable 4-barrel carburetor sucks air through pliable piping that scavenges a cool breeze from the car's left front fender. Below that carburetor, correct Pontiac turquoise paint coats the entire engine block, a correct points distributor sends fire through high quality Belden high temperature plug wires; and original Exhaust manifolds send spent gases into a high performance aftermarket Exhaust system. At the bottom of this slick second generation Trans Am, solid floorpans reflect years of sunny California living; and a fully sorted suspension tells the story of excellent maintenance and very little storage time. Behind the monster motor, a virtually indestructible Borg Warner 4-speed transmission sends power to a correct 10 bolt Posi-traction rear end which does a great job on both the back roads and the interstate. Below that stellar powertrain, a rebuilt Trans Am suspension, which includes power steering, thicker sway bars, better shocks and stiffer springs, combines with standard issue power front disc brakes and rear drums to provide quick stops and great handling. All this road ready hardware rolls on a rare set of Pontiac honeycomb wheels which spin 235/60 BF Goodrich Radial T/As around pristine arrowhead center caps. Open this Pontiac's straight white doors and you'll find a fully restored blue interior which does an excellent job of complementing the car's bright blue Trans Am call outs! The rebuilt Morrokide vinyl bucket seats are supple, firm, and look every bit as nice and rich as their exotic name implies. Below those seats, like-new blue carpet, which is carefully protected by factory replacement floor mats, displays no fading or unraveling; and between the seats, a molded blue console props an enclosed storage bin behind a chrome Hurst shifter. At the top of the car, a stain-free headliner is stretched tight from the front window to the back window. And at the sides of the car, standard blue door panels hang pristine chrome door handles between chrome window cranks and vinyl armrests. In front of the driver, an excellent looking engine turned dash houses crystal clear gauges, controls for heater, and a modern Sony CD player behind a black Formula steering wheel that's complete with a blue horn button. And behind the cockpit, a fully restored trunk hangs correct decklid decals above a new houndstooth mat. If you're in the market for an old school Trans Am that is the quintessential American muscle car; here it is. 1965 Pontiac Tempest Wagon
http://www.barnfineclassics.com/inventory/1965-pontiac-tempest-wagon Here's a 65 Tempest wagon in amazing shape! It has a numbers matching 326ci V8 and a fresh 200-R4 4 speed automatic transmission! The engine has 18,000 miles on it since the rebuild so everything is in tip top condition! The car only has 92,000 original miles. The paint is in fantastic shape, especially considering it's 47 years old! It has restored 7x14 Rally II wheels with BFG tires, a new power brake system, new power steering pump, new power rear window motor, and tons of other new parts. The entire car has been gone through and is entirely mechanically sound. The interior has been restored using much of the original vinyl, has new carpet, a new headliner, new arm rests, and the AM radio works! Other options include front and rear sway bars, new 2 1/2 inch Exhaust and new splitters, new windshield and heater core, and way too much to list! Comes with a 4 barrel setup as well! This thing is ready for a road trip!

133266 / 1973 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am Super Duty
For more information on this vehicle visit http://tinyurl.com/brpb3mq If you missed the opportunity to take home our RKM Performance restored SD-455 a few months ago, this badass Cameo Firebird is your second chance to become king of the muscle car hill! Assembled at GM's Norwood, Ohio manufacturing facility, and delivered to John Kralovetz via Bill Mowbray Motors in Brownsville, Texas, this awesome F2 Trans Am's factory correct appearance is simply spectacular. Thanks to spending most of its life in the warm and dry climate of the Southwestern United States, the car's rounded body was fairly straight when its restoration began; and given that body's distinct lack of rust, it should come as no surprise that panel gaps are excellent and fit feels rock solid. Of course, by the looks of this Pontiac's super smooth finish, someone must've spent weeks alone blocking and sanding every one of its panel in hopes of forming a laser-straight showpiece. And once the car's correct coat of Cameo White urethane was sealed in a glossy clearcoat shell, decorated with correct Trans Am call-outs and crowned with a coveted Screamin' Chicken hood decal, I'd say they definitely accomplished that goal. This car's highly detailed SD-455, which hangs a correct 490132 casting number and a November (K) 11th (11) of 1972 (2) casting date behind a correct XD engine stamp, has been bored .030 over, completely balanced and fully rebuilt to all its showroom glory. At the top of that big engine, a traditional Trans Am underhood induction system feeds fresh air to a correct 4-barrel carburetor that's bolted to a correct Pontiac intake. That intake sends a high octane air/fuel mixture into unique, high flow cylinder heads which have been equipped with Crane 1.65 roller rockers, high quality ARP rocker studs and traditional stamped steel valve covers. And those heads utilize a nodular iron crankshaft, Clevite main bearings, Clevite rod bearings, ARP Speedpro pistons and rings, and an NOS "Y" camshaft to create rocket-like combustion. Spark for that combustion is provided by a traditional points distributor which shoots fire through correct Packard TV R Suppression wires. Waste from that combustion is handled by fully restored Exhaust manifolds which roar into a stainless true dual Exhaust system. And heat from that combustion is controlled by a leak-free radiator which is hooked to fresh hoses via correct tower clamps and a correct plastic fan shroud. Behind that monster motor a virtually indestructible GM turbo-Hydramatic 400 transmission, which wears a 1973 (73) Super Duty-specific (P2Q) tag and a correct partial VIN, sends power to a familiar 10 bolt Safe-T-Track rear end that does a great job on both the back roads and the interstate. Below that stellar powertrain a rebuilt Trans Am suspension, which includes power steering, thicker sway bars, better shocks and stiffer springs, combines with standard issue power front disc and rear drum brakes to provide quick stops and great handling. At the center of the car, a power Boosting true dual Exhaust system utilizes an X-pipe crossover and welded Magnaflow mufflers to bark out a deep, vintage roar. And all this road ready hardware rolls on a restored set of Pontiac Rally II wheels which spin proven 235/60 BF Goodrich Radial T/As around pristine arrowhead center caps. In terms of interior décor, Pontiac's 70s team was firing on all eight cylinders. The rebuilt custom bucket seats are supple, firm, and look every bit as nice and rich as their name implies. Below those seats, like-new carpet, which is carefully protected by thick rubber mats, displays no fading or unraveling; and between those seats, a molded black console props an enclosed storage bin behind a chrome shifter and a factory correct 8-track player. At the sides of the car, hard to find door panels hang pristine chrome handles between chrome window cranks and full armrests. And in front of the driver, an optional tilt steering column spins a black Formula steering wheel around an engine turned instrument panel, sliders for the car's climate system and a correct Delco AM radio. If your definition of classic Detroit muscle is a highly accurate, beautifully presented, meticulously crafted Pontiac, it's your lucky day! 134047 / 1979 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am
For more information on this vehicle visit http://tinyurl.com/bx9tbl2 Pontiac made them, Hollywood made them famous and, over 30 years later, they're still awesome to drive and be seen in. Value curves have been heading skyward for awhile now, lead by cars like this awesome '79 Trans Am SE. Unrestored with just 31,357 actual miles, they don't get more authentic than this. Assembled at GM's Van Nuys, California manufacturing facility, this well-optioned Trans Am met its first owner through Schneider-Gilbert Pontiac in El Paso, Texas. A southwestern life has left the car rust-free with straight panels and factory set panel gaps. The Starlight Black paint has received some non-factory help over the years but over half of it remains Van Nuys shot. For 1979, Pontiac did a bit of Trans Am tweaking. A mildly revised front end features a straight and glossy urethane front bumper with the familiar quad headlight setup anchored by a traditional red Pontiac arrow. . At the back of the car, correct molding frames an electrically defrosted rear window above a correct black valence that's complete with factory blacked out tail lights. Under the hood, the original 400cid V8 remains planted in the subframe. Rated at 220hp and 320lb ft of torque, this made the T/A one of the strongest runners of its day. The bay is clean for an unrestored car, with a mix of satin black and metallic blue highlighting the hard parts. Turn the key and the engine comes to life, offering a surprisingly subdued rumble at idle. Underneath the car, the original Borg Warner T10 remains attached to the 400 while, out back a 10-bolt Safe-T-Track differential packs 3.23 gears. . Around the drivetrain, Pontiac's legendary WS6 performance suspension offers larger sway bars, better shocks and springs, a tighter steering gear box and new-for-1979 power front and rear disc brakes. Combined with power steering and BFG Radial TA tires wrapped around gold snow flake wheels, this T/A gets around corners with ease. Open those long doors and a factory fresh Camel Tan cloth interior comes into view. Unrestored with very little visible wear, the cabin remains just as Van Nuys assembled it. Options include supportive bucket seats, power windows and locks, air conditioning, a tilt column and an AM/FM stereo with tape player. From the carpet to the T-tops, everything remains dealership fresh. From an original build sheet to warranty info and an owners manual, there is plenty of original paperwork with the car. Also included information from PHS which offers further insight into the cars history. High quality second generation Trans Ams are red-hot right now with the value of clean, unique factory correct cars climbing steadily each year. Don't miss the chance to take home one of the best!
