Camaro - I will survive!

"I Will Survive" by Gloria Gaynor made me think of my car, and what she might have to say to the previous owners who neglected her ;) Slideshow photos span approximately one year. The restoration was done by MJ Auto in Montreal/Ste-Genevieve and by myself (they were super generous and let me use their garage space and all their tools)

1985 Camaro Start to Finish
This video chronicles the transformation to my wife's first car, a 1985 Camaro. She bought the car in 1995 and when we first met she was driving it. We decided to sell it to my brother a few years after we got married. During the summer of 2008, I reacquired the car and secretly brought it back to its original glory.

1984 Z28 Camaro Project Car
My dad's 1984 Chevrolet Z28 Camaro. I no longer plan to restore and use this car as a daily driver. I will be buying an older pickup truck and will restore it and I will upload videos of the restoration process of it. I will restore this car at a later time. Fuel economy plays a big role in this decision and I really would like something that already runs and doesn't have 200k miles and that gets better than 8 to 10 mpg and doesn't have rust holes everywhere. I have been finding more and more big problems with this car than I first thought there were and it is cheeper for me to get a more practical and a bit better on gas. I hope this doesn't dissapoint anyone and I hope you guys enjoy the videos to come! Shout out to gearheadAbe Keep up the good videos!

my first car from start to half way running..lol

1983 z28 Camaro
I have a 1983 cross fire injection z28 Camaro. It has 51,000 original miles on it. My interior is rare because I've only seen a small number of them. Its called Lear Siegler Camaro Conteur interior. The car has Power everything, cruise control and a tilt steering column and the ERS sound system. There is carpet all over the plastic inside. In the back hatch compartment there is a trunk lid that locks and defogger on the back window also. I have had 2 other 3rd gen Camaros and they were nothing like this car, this car has a lot of options.

Cody's Camaro Body Restoration
First off I'd like to say thanks for watching, and I would also like to say that I did this all by myself at age 19... Enjoy... 1992 25th Anniversary Z28 Camaro Body Restoration.... Did it myself with no real body work training for under $1,000. I am very pleased with the product. Painted in an open shop without a paint booth.

Camaro Update 7/25/10 - Wiring up the Car
Now that the engine is in we started working on the wiring harness. I worked on testing, cleaning up, and installing the Camaro harness. Brent worked on the 82' crossfire computer harness. We are so close to starting the beast up! Just a few more odds and ends.

1984 Camaro Z/28 Project
This is my first car. A 1984 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28. Bought it in may 2008 with no engine. The body was in great shape, no rust except for a bit on the trailing arms. 118 000 km's on the Body and T-5 Tranny. New stainless 3" Exhaust, headers back with a cat delete. It has '85 Iroc GFX and what appears to be the relatively rare 90-91 "blister" hood. Also game with the Grant steering wheel and weld draglites all around. So far I've spent the summer rebuilding a 1969 010 block 350 sbc. Nothing too special, punched .060 over with hypereutectic pistons, what appears to be some edelbrock .477 lift cam, edelbrock Air-Gap RPM intake, 650cfm dp holley, hooker headers. Come spring I hope to install UMI SFC's, LCA's, LCARB's, PHB, Wonderbar, Koni Yellows with an Eibach Pro-Kit. Hoopefully, If I get enough money, I'd like to get some aluminum performance heads and a different cam/valvetrain to optimize my setup. Anyways, this is what I've done so far. I would do more, but at the moment I'm nearly 500km's away in university. Cant wait for spring!
