"I Will Survive" by Gloria Gaynor made me think of my car, and what she might have to say to the previous owners who neglected her ;)
Slideshow photos span approximately one year. The restoration was done by MJ Auto in Montreal/Ste-Genevieve and by myself (they were super generous and let me use their garage space and all their tools)
1984 Z28 Camaro Project Car
My dad's 1984 Chevrolet Z28 Camaro.
I no longer plan to restore and use this car as a daily driver. I will be
buying an older pickup truck and will restore it and I will upload videos
of the restoration process of it.
I will restore this car at a later time. Fuel economy plays a big role in
this decision and I really
would like something that already runs and doesn't have 200k miles and that
gets better than 8 to 10 mpg and doesn't have rust holes everywhere. I have
been finding more and more big problems with this car than I first thought
there were and it is cheeper for me to get a more practical and a bit
better on gas. I hope this doesn't dissapoint anyone and I hope you guys
enjoy the videos to come!
Shout out to gearheadAbe
Keep up the good videos!
1985 Camaro Start to Finish
This video chronicles the transformation to my wife's first car, a 1985 Camaro. She bought the
car in 1995 and when we first met she was driving it. We decided to sell
it to my brother a few years after we got married. During the summer of
2008, I reacquired the car and secretly brought it back to its original

Chevrolet Camaro Z28 - Test Drive and Hoon of a 3rd Gen
A simple morning drive featuring a 1982 Camaro Z28 with a few mechanical
updates. This car was built to be driven and I do... a lot.
Here's a list of some of the additions:
Baer T4 Cross drilled and slotted brakes
GM Performance 290 HP 350 c.i. crate engine
Flowmaster 3" Exhaust
Koni adjustable shocks
2002 Standard Corvette Rims
Flaming River quick ratio steering box and leather wheel
OMP racing seats
6 point mild steel cage
6 Speed manual transmission built by Hanlon Motorsports
...and the seriously sweet Alpine cassette stereo from the 80's!
3rd Gen Camaro - Fox-Body Mustang (the good, bad and the ugly)
Most car guys don't know the difference between the 230hp G92 optioned
models, or the 5-speed and automatic models, or the 170hp lackluster TBI
versions (not to be confused with TPI versions)... Mustang guys smoke the 170hp TBI
models, as well as the "run of the mill" TPI automatic models, and believe
they can do this to any and all. Well, not all 3rd Gen F-bodies are created
equal. Optioned from the factory with the 230hp TPI (not TBI) engine,
manual 5-speed tranny and 3.42 gears, these 3rd Gen F-body sleepers gave
5.0 Mustangs absolute hell.
In 1990 the G92 option code became a full performance package rather than
simply a rear axle option as in previous model years... GM also offered an
answer to the Saleen Mustangs by way of option 1LE, which
consisted of the G92 optioned without A/C and other creature comforts, and
the addition of Corvette brakes and other road racing equipment.
About the only way an IROC-Z Camaro could take out a 5.0L Mustang from this era was with
the Tuned Port Induction and addition of these performance options: G92,
1LE, L98 or B4C.
The TBI powered Camaro
were not at all in the same league as the performance version TPI Camaro, or 5.0 Mustang, these 170hp TBI models were
GM's economy de-tuned versions and were around 50-60 less horsepower versus the
performance optioned TPI models. These non-performing models gave the 3rd
Gen F-bodies a bad rep on the street... many think that these were the
example of 3rd Gen F-bodies, when in fact, and unlike Ford, GM offered many
models, with many engines, camshafts and rear-gear ratios...
