2014 Chevy Impala First Drive Review
( ) The new 2014 Chevy Impala represents a modern version the classic big American Sedan. Of course the big difference being that unlike Chevrolet Impalas of the 1950's and 1960's the new 2014 Chevy Impala is front-wheel-drive instead of RWD. In this TFLcar first drive review we spend some quality time with the big GM ride getting to know the new Impala in San Diego, California. With a 3.6L engine that puts out 305 HP, the new Impala is certainly not underpowered, but is it better than the old car which GM mainly sold to rent-a-car fleet and commercial'll have to watch this first drive review to find out.

2014 Chevrolet Impala Test Drive & Full-Size Car Video Review Believe it or not the Chevrolet Impala is now in its 10th Generation. Now the Impala is larger and more luxurious as it shares the same platform as the Cadillac XTS. Chevrolet is hoping to once again become a segment leader in the full-size car category. The 2014 Impala features a bold new exterior design that Chevy calls assertive and athletic. This refresh was much needed since the Impala's competition has all received recent makeovers. Under the hood is a powerful V-6 engine making over 300 horsepower. The interior is sophisticated and more upscale compared to Impala automobile of years past. The base price for a 2014 Chevrolet Impala is $26,725. For many years the Impala was not the most exciting full-sized sedan you could buy, but it did fulfill a purpose. Now for the 2014 model year, Chevy has made an exciting and dynamic full-sized sedan. The Impala comes in three trim levels: the LS, LZ, and LTZ. There are 2 engine choices on the 2014 Chevrolet Impala. The 3.6 liter V-6 features direct injection and can be found on a number of GM products. This motor produces 303 horsepower and 264 lb-ft. of torque. The smaller 2.5 liter 4-cylinder horsepower engine makes less horsepower at 195 but does manage better fuel economy. Both engine choices are mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission. From a styling perspective the car looks great. There are some great cars in the full-size segment including the Hyundai Azera, Toyota Avalon, Ford Taurus, Chrysler 300, and the Dodge Charger. On the inside the Chevy MyLink system with 8-inch screen has really pushed the envelope of infotainment systems. Elsewhere on the instrument cluster is a 4-inch information screen located between the speedometer and tach that displays a ton of information on a vivid screen. The seats are very comfortable and the steering feel is good. The 2014 Chevrolet Impala is a full-size sedan that serves the purpose of providing drivers and passengers with a comfortable cabin and a reliable vehicle. See More Car Videos Join Our Facebook Page
