Ray's 1974 Datsun 260Z RB25DET MegaSquirt MS1/E-029v
I installed Megasquirt on Ray's car (MS1/E-029v code to be specific), wired the instruments, and rewired almost the whole bloody car! The car runs awesome, looks awesome, and won 1st place in "Modified Z-car" at the 2007 All Datsun/Nissan Meet in Vancouver. While I researched how to hook up the RB25DET, Ray did all of the mechanical install of the motor, fab work for the Intercooler and Exhaust, and prepared all of the typically numerous other little things that take time and attention. Fausto Bormolini é o mais rápido na Rampa da Falperra Fausto Bormolini, aos comandos de um Reynard K02, foi o piloto mais veloz na primeira manga da Rampa da Falperra, realizado no final desta tarde e com forte adesão do público, que não quis deixar de assitir às máquinas nas estradas nortenhas. Bormolini percorreu os 5,2 quilómetros da subida em 2.02,208s, batendo Demuth Guy, num Osella FA 30, por 1,178s, ao passo que Adriano Zerla foi o terceiro melhor, com um Osella PA30, a 2,269s. Pouco atrás ficou o checo Krámský Otakar, com o seu Reynard K11, ficando a apenas 2,313s da frente. O quinto posto foi para o Norma E2SC de Andrès Vilariño, a 2,484s do melhor tempo. O melhor português encontra-se no 11º posto, com Patrick Cunha aos comandos do Lamborghini Gallardo LP600, tendo ficado a 14,049s do melhor registo da prova, três posições na frente de António Barros, com a última evolução do BRC CNOS. António Nogueira ficou logo na posição seguinte, em 15º, com o seu Porsche 911 turbo GT2. Nos troféus monomarca, houve mais animação, com João Batista e Paulo Machado a levarem a melhor na primeira manga do Transit Trophy, por escassos 0,004s sobre José Pedro Leite e António Rodrigues. Rui Azevedo e Jorge Areia ficaram no terceiro posto, a cerca de 1,6 segundos. Nesta manga, Pedro Moura e Rui Almeida foram os mais velozes entre os carros do FEUP 2, sendo o sexto da geral, enquanto Tiago Pereira e Rui Machado levaram a melhor entre os concorrentes do Desafio FEUP1, classificando-se em 32º da geral. Na segunda manga, Patrick Cunha e Pedro Fins superiorizaram-se no troféu das Transit, com 0,828s de vantagem sobre José Pedro Leite e António Rodrigues. Rui Azevedo e Jorge Areia repetiram o terceiro posto. this is some in car footage of one of my laps around bathurst easter weekend 2008 at the festival of sporting cars race meeting. The class was regularity. the only things i can say: 230K's in a zed is FREAKY! and this track is AWESOME!!!
