Chevy Aveo 1.6L CAI Short Ram Cone Intake system
Here is an intake I bought off E-bay. It is a "chromeintakes" brand intake. They make them in batches per your car specs. It took about 2 weeks to get, but was well worth it. Between the CAI and my Apexi N1 Muffler I gained horsepower, throttle response, and SERIOUSLY have gained 2-4 MPG compared to PRE intake and Exhaust mods. I saw almost 34mpg on mixed city/highway driving just a couple of weeks ago. Previously I would rarely see 31mpg with similar driving. I just rolled over 50k on it and it's running better than ever.

Final Video: 93' Corolla 2-inch Exhaust and Dynomax Muffler
This is my third and final video of the Exhaust system. Today I decided to get one more resonator installed in addition to the two I had fitted previously. The guy at a different Exhaust shop decided it was best to remove the 10" resonator that was put in a few weeks ago and replace it with the 18" that I bought the other day. Well, it worked. The car sounds so much better when driving now, and there is no more annoying droning at highway speeds or when accelerating at low RPMs. Finally it's not too loud but also not too quiet. So now the system consists of headers, 4-2-1 front pipe, 2-inch piping, no catalytic converter, 1x 18" resonator, 1x 10" resonator and a Dynomax Super turbo muffler. I'm pleased that I finally managed to eliminate any droning or raspiness as I've spent more than enough money on this system so far. Comments, ratings and opinions very welcome. P.S. Don't worry about the slight hints of smoke in the video as this is just burn-off from the muffler and piping. The noise at the very end of the video is a plane going over. Also, don't worry about the trunk/bumper looking deformed in the video, it's just the crappy quality once it gets uploaded to YouTube. It doesn't look like that in real-life.

Apex Apex'i N1 Universal Muffler on Chevy Aveo 1.6L
I bought this N1 universal due to seeing tons of Exhaust system and muffler replacement videos right here on youtube. I never saw one specifically on a Chevy Aveo, but I had seen demos on other small 4 cylinder cars. I liked what I heard out of the Apex N1 muffler the best so I went ahead and bought one. This is the 90mm or 3.5 inch version and everything else from the muffler forward to the block is still stock. This muffler is nice and deep and installed as a rear muffler replacement. The noise level in the car is quite minimal, but more than stock since these cars have almost NO Exhaust noise from the factory. At idle or on the open road or at cruising RPM you don't really notice much of a cabin difference over stock unless you are really stepping on it. I have heard however if you strip out all of your resonators and converters it can be very loud. The tone you hear on the video is pretty accurate to what you hear in person. I would SERIOUSLY DOUBT that a cop would ever pull you over specifically for this muffler unless you REALLY lay into it right when you are passing one. Even then I doubt he'd have a leg to stand on since any "illegal" Mustang with no converters and an X pipe is probably twice as loud... or ANY HARLEY DAVIDSON is about 3-4 times as loud and way more harsh than the Apex. Word to the wise.. if for some reason you do get pulled over for a moving violation of some sort.. turn the car off before the cop gets to your car... no sense in giving him a reason to mention something about your Exhaust tone. :)
