1972 Buick Suncoupe at Bowling Green, KY

This is from the 2010 GSCA Nationals event in Bowling Green, KY. The event was postponed to October from May due to the track being 20' under water. I ran a best of 12.32 during the event and took runner up of the BSA (Buick Stock Appearing)class. This car has completely stock suspension, iron heads, Exhaust manifolds (no headers) and a Rochester quadrajet carb.

1970 Dodge Challenger R/T 440 Magnum - Vintage Motorcars - Sun Prairie, WI
Dodge Challenger Description: Vintage Motorcars is a small group of classic car enthusiasts and restoration experts. Our Website: http://vintagemotorcars.us/ 1970 Dodge Challenger RT – Factory Original Number Matching 440 Magnum “U” Code Here is a rotisserie restored 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T. This iconic Mopar retains it’s original, numbers-matching 440 Magnum engine and automatic transmission. It also retains it’s original data tag, dash ID VIN and driver’s door VIN tags. Extreme attention to detail was taken to completely restore this awesome Challenger to original factory assembly line specifications. Overall restoration costs exceeded $80,000. The 1970 Challenger R/T 440 Magnum “U Code” option was an upgrade from the standard 383 motor commonly found in many 1970 RT's. The big block 440 AVS four-barrel engine was relatively easy for the average home garage mechanic to dial in for street and even an occasion run at the local drag strip. Even back in 1970 this factory “Go Mango” Challenger was a rare car with only 970 JS23 vehicles produced. Most Go Mango cars came from the factory with the black vinyl top and interior combination. This Challenger is the epitome of what was "Hip" in 1970. It has been driven less than 150 miles since a complete restoration. This is a rare car in pristine condition and would make an exceptional investment that you can also drive and enjoy. Don’t miss out on a unique opportunity to own this vintage, big block Challenger RT!! Vehicle Condition Mechanically the car runs like new which is to be expected with a completely rebuilt 440 – awesome power! It drives down the road effortlessly and is a real joy to drive! Bottom line –this Challenger RT is completely restored so mechanically it is essentially like your back in 1970 driving a new factory assembled machine. Paint is show quality perfect. Vinyl top is in mint condition. All bright-work (bumpers, wheel moldings, hood molding, etc. are exceptional. The Dash VIN plate, driver’s door VIN tag and engine compartment Data Plate are all present. CONDITION GRADE Excellent - 95% of new condition. Shows virtually no wear, paint and bright-work are perfect. FACTORY ORIGINALITY Pure factory stock appearance - A restored car in factory condition where the equipment of the vehicle match the VIN and documentation description. The restoration process included a mix of original re-built, NOS and reproduction parts. The car will appear stock in a broad sense, attention to the finer factory details are not adhered to. EXTERIOR Overall, the paint quality is excellent. Overall panel fit and finish is about as perfect as it can be for a 1970 Chrysler vehicle. There is no evidence of rust or damage repair to the sheet-metal panels or frame. The "DODGE" hood letters are included but not installed. INTERIOR The H6XW white interior is perfect condition. Dash pad, door panels, headliner and seat covers were replaced with Year One/Legendary components. Dash gauges were restored and re-colored and look like new. All glass including the windshield is good. The factory installed AC works the way it should. The special Challenger upper interior door wood grain insert panels are include but not installed. If you are looking for a time capsule to take you back to 1970, just sit in the driver's seat. ENGINE COMPARTMENT Engine and all additional components look just like it did back when the car was on the Dodge showroom floor in 1970. CHASSIS Undercarriage is perfect. Factory simulated undercoating was applied during the restoration process. Exhaust system is perfect. The trunk floor is perfect. The original factory supplied jack assembly and "space saver" spare tire and rim are included. Both jack, rim are in excellent original condition. The tire appears to be original 1970 vintage. NUMBER MATCHING The engine, transmission and body numbers all match the car's VIN. VALUE Hemmings Motors News June 2015 issue ("Buyers Guide" article) estimated the value range of a correctly restored detailed 1970 Challenger RT 440 Magnum car at $62,400. This is truly an investment grade car. Equal to the quality you would see at Barrett-Jackson or other high quality auctions.
