1972 Buick Suncoupe at Bowling Green, KY

This is from the 2010 GSCA Nationals event in Bowling Green, KY. The event was postponed to October from May due to the track being 20' under water. I ran a best of 12.32 during the event and took runner up of the BSA (Buick Stock Appearing)class. This car has completely stock suspension, iron heads, Exhaust manifolds (no headers) and a Rochester quadrajet carb.

Buick - History Documentary (1995)
This video is a wonderfully-done documentary, written and produced by Michael Rose, on the history of Buick as presented in 1995 from the History Channel's archive. Here is Michael's description of the video verbatim: "No one would have believed that the tinkering of a plumber would turn into the foundation of the world's largest corporation. But it did. David Dunbar Buick invented a process to adhere porcelain to tubs and other bathroom fixtures. But the Scottish immigrant dreamed of making a mark out of the bathroom, and set to work building a car. By 1900, he enlisted the aid of another inventor, Walter Marr, and they built their first vehicle. Their invention attracted the attention of one of Michigan's wealthiest men, William Crapo Durant, the president of the world's largest buggy-building business. As soon as he drove one of Buick's early creations, Durant realized that the days of the horse and buggy were over. He teamed up with Buick, and the two went on to make history. By the thirties, Buicks were regarded as some of the finest cars ever made. From the first Buicks through the birth of General Motors and into history, this is the compelling story of the partnership that eventually became the basis for the largest company in the world."

1970 Pontiac GTO STK 89-ATL.mpg
WOW is the under-statement of the year when trying to describe this gorgeous 455 H.O. 4 speed 1970 Pontiac GTO. Professional frame-off restoration brought this ride back to absolute original condition. This baby is ready for your next show, cruise-in, or just a Sunday afternoon drive. This original GTO is one of a total of 7088 GTO's built with 455ci engines, which includes all years or production, 1970-74. The 1970 year production is the only high compression, 10.25:1, 455's made for the GTO. Producing 370hp, ground pounding 500ft-lbs of torque, these high output GTOs were and still are an absolute blast to drive. Equipped as you could have ordered one, besides the beast of an engine, this GTO boasts a Rochester Quadrajet carburetor, 4-speed M-21 (close ratio) transmission, dual Exhaust, 12 bolt 3.31:1 Saf-T-Trac rear end, power steering, power front disc brakes with rear drum brakes, deluxe AM pushbutton radio and rear window fan defrost system. Among other options such as two-speed windshield wiper/washer, front bucket seats with shoulder/seat belts, rear seat belts, console, clock, Rallye gauge cluster, courtesy lights, remote driver's mirror and even an electric trunk release. Wrapping your fingers around the factory wood-sport steering wheel and looking through the front windshield at the hood mounted tach as you push the accelerator, you'll be wishing the road never ends. 15x7 Rallye II wheels wrapped in radial tires with the original 14x6 wheels available keep you planted to the road. The great Exhaust note is achieved through the custom 2 1/2" tubes with an x-crossover connection and 2-chamber Flowmaster mufflers with resonators. The temp gauge closes out the modifications done to the car yet the original in-dash temp gauge system is still good. This factory Polar White GTO with the optional '69 Judge stripes add to the definite GTO muscle look. This girl is ready to go and we think your garage is begging for her to call your place home.

9 Second Buick GSX Stage2 GS Stage1 9.51 @ 140
We originally built this car with Frank Urbinati back in 1996.It debuted at the GS Nationals where it won the GS Pro Street class races. It was also the 1st GS Pro Street class car to break into the 9's at the time. Thanks to Frank this project came to life. Fast forward to 2010 and the car has been taken over by Bob Ortolani, the car still looks great and Bob decided to bring it up another level. We were happy to have the car come back to our shop and to have the opportunity to work with Bob and put together the new powerplant. The video shows the results of our 1st day out to tune the engine. The 1st two passes were shakedowns to check fuel/oil pressures and get a feel for the new combo. By the 3rd run we had posted a 9.62 @ 138 hitting the 7100rpm rev limiter chip! The 4th run was a 9.52 @ 140. On the 5th run it went 9.51 @ 140.65! After a good cool down and a timing adjustment we were ready to try for a 9.40 run, launching right off idle the car gave us a nice big unexpected wheelie! The wheelie sure lookes cool but we know we can go quicker with a little more suspension work to straighten out the launch and try to keep the front down. We're sure it'll go into the 9.40's yet and maybe even 30's after everything is worked out.

1966 Buick Convertible Barn Find Rescue, Part 1
This is the story of a '66 Buick Special convertible that had been abandoned in Arizona in 1978 by the family of Rick Pewe, editor of 4-Wheel & Off-Road magazine. In 2011, the guys from HOT ROD Magazine, in conjunction with Rick, spent four days bringing the car back from the dead with plans to drive it home from Phoenix to Los Angeles. This is part 1, with the hacking fun the guys had rescuing the car. Look for part two, loaded with road-trip hilarity. The story is printed in the September 2011 issue of HOT ROD Magazine.

Buick - 1985 Buick Grand National
Here's another great video from the History Channel's archive on the 1985 Buick Regal turbocharged Grand National. Per the History Channel's exact video description: "A high-horsepower, attention-grabbing celebration of speed, the 1985 Grand National represents Buick's return to muscle-car roots. Now, two teams of veteran mechanics try to extract everything they can from the Grand National's made-for-speed equipment (including turbo engines, fuel injectors, and racing transmissions) to transform the car into a big, mean racing machine The premise is simple: FULL THROTTLE selects two teams who are each given the same model of classic car in a similar state of disrepair. They're supplied with a garage, tools, and parts, and after 20 hours of repair time, they battle it out in an old-fashioned drag-race on a certified track. The winner keeps both cars. The loser keeps nothing. They're fast, they're flashy, they reignited America's love of muscle cars-and finally, the 1985 BUICK GRAND NATIONAL returns with a vengeance on the track."
