Queen St BMW running a custom Quad-rotor
Yep, this car runs a quad rotor engine, that four rotors in a row. It's not
one of the famed 26B's but it is two 13B's bolted together.
This was one of the early runs of the car, I'm pretty sure it's much faster now.
Jamboree 2011 - Cool Cars, Hot Women
I decided to stick my head in for a look at Jamboree 2011 while on holidays
in Queensland recently. Cool cars and hot women make this event a mandatory
addition to everyone's event list.
There's a couple little editing glitches in the video, but it took so long
to render and upload, I decided to let them be.
KRANKY Burns Down Kandos - Burnout Fire!!
We've seen plenty of burnouts end with a fire but we've never seen one
start with a fire. Rodney Waters HQ sedan goes up in flames right from the
start at Kandos. It's crazy insane.
1000HP Ratrod Pick-up Fries the Tyres And Transmission
It's been a while since we've seen Denis Maloney's RatRod Dodge puick-up at
a competition and that's because it was getting this new beast of an
engine. Denis has just fitted this 1000hp+ 410ci Chrysler small block,
complete with methanol injection. It's a crazy beast and more than a little
scary. Halfway through the burnout you could tell the auto wasn't really
happy and the back wheels weren't spinning they way they should have been,
then the flames started and while I haven't confirmed this, I wouldn't be
surprised if it was trans fluid causing the fire. Hopefully he'll get it
all sorted soon.
Rod Hadfield's BeauTy
For those who don't know Rod, he's on of the most prolific Australian hod
rodder's of our time. He's built and owned more amazing cars than most of
us could dream of. Check out his highly modified '26 T-coupe. It's running
an Ardun headed flathead V8 and a host of cool gear found around the swap

UPDATE - Talked to Harry about this video the other day. He confirmed that
the tacho recall read 11,200rpm and he also told me the engine didn't die,
it sheered the rollpin in the distributor and put the timing way out. which
is why it turned over but wouldn't fire properly. the engine did another 3
or 4 shows after this and even then it only needed bearing and valve
There's no mechanical sympathy here. Listen to this thing scream when Harry
Haig gets into it during the second annual Ultimate Burnout Challenge held
at Avalon Speedway. The engine sounds more like something you'd hear in a
pro-stock car than on the burnout track. It's no surprise that the engine
can't handle that kind of sustained rpms but it's still amazing to watch
and listen to.
PH5YCO Escort With a NASCAR Engine
Shoving a NASCAR engine into a little Ford Escort is a sure way to have a
good time but with the wet Springnats burnout track it's hard to keep
things under control. Nice revving little machine though.
Wild 9sec Falcon has trouble going around corners
Now don't get me wrong, I love this car. I've been in this car doing insane
speeds down the main straight at Eastern Creek, but it's not the best car
to be fanging around corners.
But it is wickedly quick in a straight line with genuine 9sec time slips.
Not bad for a street driven car.
Two Superchargers, No Waiting for smoke!!
I used to think this car was called 24TUFF for some reason, and with 2
blowers I guess that works as well, but it's actually T4TUFF and it is
Tough with a capital T. Matt Power is the pilot of the flame throwing smoke
monster, and even though it was a killer burnout Matt finished 13th
overall, that's how tough the competition was.
Harley Wheelstand - Hang on!
This Harley rider got a little more than he bargained for when he launched
at Sydney Dragway recently. He did well to stay on it and then he even got
back into the throttle. Bloody amazing.
