Transmission Repair - GM 4L60-E Transmission Re-Assembly (Rebuild)
On this video we go through the re assembly of a 4L60E Transmission. I tried to make this video shorter for you so I skipped the bushing installation and installing the bolts on the valve body. But you can go to the teardown video for reference on where each bolt goes, since they're different sizes. I will make a follow up video on bushing installation.

Transmission Repair - 4L60E Transmission Teardown Inspection
On this video we can see the disassembly of a 2006 4L60E transmission. The most common failure on these units is 3rd. clutch burn up, the reaction sun shell and the 2-4 band. Failure on these transmissions is not necessary the way it is treated, rather is these common or pattern failures. Valve body ware is also another issue and can be corrected installing a correction kit of your choice.

Honda Accord Valve Adjustment - EricTheCarGuy
This one was a request from a couple of viewers, I like to keep you all happy so here you go. This video is actually taken from a larger video I call "Accord Smackdown", in it I replace the timing belt, radiator, a major service, and some other stuff that I don't remember. I think there will be a couple more videos from this "smackdown" in the future, there is some good stuff in there that I think you will like and possibly learn from. If you have other topics you would like covered don't hesitate to let me know, I'm happy to give you what you want. Post them as text or video responses to this or any of my videos. I'm going to get the part number for the tool I used in the video sometime next week and post it here so keep your socks on and check back sometime next week. Since I had this RL in my shop that had a check engine light AND an ABS light I thought it was a perfect opportunity to put this video together. I get asked all the time about my 'special tool' and it's really nothing more than a Honda 2 pin connector with the input wires soldered together. These connectors might be harder to find than you think but if you run across a junk honda and one of these is on the harness grab it. Even if you don't have the tool a paper clip or piece of wire will do the exact same thing so don't sweat it if you don't have the tool because shorting the connector is all you need to do. I hope you find this video helpful. How To Replace a Radiator 1999 Acura 2.3 CL/Accord -EricTheCarGuy
Visit me at: http://www.ericthecarguy.com/ It's actually quite common for these radiators to fail this way so if you own a Honda of this vintage I'm sure you'll have to replace a radiator at some point. As the title says if it's an Acura 2.3 CL or an Accord this procedure will work as they are both pretty much the same vehicle. Also as pointed out in the video probably the most critical part is to make sure you bleed the air out of the system properly. If you don't bleed the air properly you can get a fluctuating idle, intermittent overheat, inconsistent heat, and possibly a water sloshing noise from the dashboard area. Be sure not to skip this important step anytime you open a cooling system to avoid these issues. Here are some links that were mentioned in the video. Spark Plug Well Oil Leak Fix, Honda Accord - EricTheCarGuy
Spark Plug Well Oil Leak Fix, Honda Accord - EricTheCarGuy http://www.ericthecarguy.com/ I know I've promised this one for some time so here it is. If you have this problem I recommend replacing the seals in the valve cover first and then coming back to recheck for oil in the spark plug wells in about a month or so, if you find oil then I recommend performing this procedure. I can't stress enough how important it is to make sure everything is lined up correctly when you reinstall the rocker assembly, bad things can happen if you don't. --- Click below and Stay Dirty Visit me at EricTheCarGuy.com http://ericthecarguy.com/ Visit EricTheCarGuy Forum http://www.ericthecarguy.com/forum/default.aspx Visit my Facebook Page: http://www.facebook.com/EricTheCarGuy --- ETCG Due to factors beyond the control of EricTheCarGuy, it cannot guarantee against unauthorized modifications of this information, or improper use of this information.  EricTheCarGuy assumes no liability for property damage or injury incurred as a result of any of the information contained in this video. EricTheCarGuy recommends safe practices when working with power tools, automotive lifts, lifting tools, jack stands, electrical equipment, blunt instruments, chemicals, lubricants, or any other tools or equipment seen or implied in this video.  Due to factors beyond the control of EricTheCarGuy, no information contained in this video shall create any express or implied warranty or guarantee of any particular result.  Any injury, damage or loss that may result from improper use of these tools, equipment, or the information contained in this video is the sole responsibility of the user and not EricTheCarGuy.

97 Honda 2.2L Odyssey Accord starting problem when engine is cold
This is my 97 Honda Odyssey 2.2L ..same engine as the Accord. The problem is that the engine is hard to keep running after the initial start. It takes mutable tries to get the engine to keep running. The engine reving is me on the throttle trying to keep it alive once it finally starts. So its not that its surging on its own. After about a minute I can take my foot off the gas and it will run fine..seemingly after some heat has built up. Though after it finally starts it will run absolutely fine..to the point there is no indication that there is a problem what so ever...doesn't even run ruff, stall,or have a loss of power...I mean it runs perfect and starts every time. (after it has finally started and warmed up.) I have let the car sit for aslong as 6 hours...and it will start right up. If it sits more than 7 hours..same starting problem. Im stumped..never seen such a thing. I have changed in the last few days: cap, rotor, wires, cleaned the IAC valve,Sea foamed the intake, new ngk plugs, Someone please help...this is driving me nuts!! Thanks in advance

Acura 3.2 TL, CL, MDX misfire repair Procedure (Tech Bulletin).wmv
This video will give you step by step instructions on checking and cleaning the engine EGR ports. This is a very common problem with regards to check engine lights and misfire DTCs (P0301 thru P0306, P1399, P0133) You should check for fowled spark plugs and ignition coils along with this procedure.

The Basic Parts of an Automatic Transmission (Part 1)
Visit me at: http://www.ericthecarguy.com/ This is part one of my front wheel drive (FWD) automatic transmission dissection video. In this video I cover the operation of clutches, bands, accumulators, clutch drums, the oil pump, the valve body, valves, check balls, seals and 'o' rings, as well as the construction and function of many of the internal hard parts of an automatic transmission. To be honest a rear wheel drive transmission isn't much different as many of the basic components are the same. I guess what I'm saying is that you could use the information in this video to have a basic understanding of a rear wheel drive automatic transmission also. It is just a basic overview of the main components. I don't get into theory and operation so much. Just the general operation and identification of the parts. I may make more videos on this topic based on the comments I get so feel free to ask questions and perhaps I'll answer them in a future video on this topic. There will also be a separate video on the parts and operation of the torque converter as well. When that is posted I'll post links below to that video. P0401 Honda Accord, Cleaning EGR Passages - EricTheCarGuy
I know I'm jumping around but it will all become clear in the end, I hope. This is once again that same Accord that I worked on but this time I focus on cleaning the EGR passages. Over time these passages become clogged with what is called "hard carbon deposits", many speculate as to the origins of this material but it is in my opinion the product of condensation and carbon buildup inside these passages that seems to contribute to this problem. The fix is pretty straight forward as you can see but the diagnosis can be tricky at times. Sometimes the check engine light will come on for an EGR flow code, but on earlier models EGR flow is not detected by the ECU and in those cases it might manifest as a failure of an emissions test for high NOx emissions. When this is the case the symptoms sometimes include, surging on the highway or a misfire under load. For the most part EGR's are easy to check but there are some EGR systems that are very difficult to service and repair. All I can say is to consult with the service manual or a knowledgeable tech whenever you run into a system your not familiar with. --- Click below and Stay Dirty Visit me at EricTheCarGuy.com http://ericthecarguy.com/ Visit EricTheCarGuy Forum http://www.ericthecarguy.com/forum/default.aspx Visit my Facebook Page: http://www.facebook.com/EricTheCarGuy --- You can also leave questions as text or video responses to this or any other video I've posted.
