All Pontiac Drag Race Final 8/30/09 68 Firebird 400 vs 70 Ram Air IV GTO
The final of the All Pontiac Drag Race Day at Grove Creek Raceway Lindstrom, MN 8/30/09. Shawn Baird's 68 Firebird 400 narrowly defeats Paul Kilker's 70 Ram Air IV GTO. Shawn ran an 8.12 1/8th mile on a 8.01 dial with a modified 400 with slicks and headers. Paul turned a respectable 9.59 on a 9.52 dial with his bone stock RAIV GTO on street tires. This event was organized by Land of Lakes GTO club member and former Grove Creek points champion Bill Meyer.

A Tribute to Pontiac
A quick overview of Pontiac Motor Division, from the first Pontiac-branded car built in 1926 and its beginnings as an offshoot of the Oakland car company, to the final '09 and '10 cars. Also features some commercial and movie footage in which Pontiacs played an important role.
My first car was and is a 1985 Pontiac 6000 STE, and I want a 2009 Pontiac G8 GT very badly someday, so the brand's elimination came as a shock and a huge disappointment to me. I hope Pontiac may one day return, but for now, this video is my farewall salute to a great brand with a great history. Enjoy.

The World's Greatest Drag Race returns with nine of the world's best supercars, sports cars, and muscle cars for 2012 facing off in an epic quarter-mile sprint for glory... and ultimate bragging rights! This year's field includes all nine contenders from Motor Trend's 2012 Best Driver's Car competition. We have the Lamborghini Aventador, Nissan GT-R Black Edition, Ford Shelby GT500, McLaren MP4-12C, Jaguar XKR-S, Porsche 911 Carrera S, Subaru BRZ, Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Black Series and Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 -- all gathered together on an abandoned airstrip at El Toro Marine Base to find out which car is the fastest. Obviously these nine competitors display a wide range of power and performance, not to mention price tags. So why are we lining them all up again for one gigantic, over-the-top drag race? 3000 HP Drag Race @ 75-80 Dragway
3000 HP Drag Race @ 75-80 Dragway on 6/25. the winner in the GTO ran a 4.430 @ 170.39 MPH, but ended up getting DisQualified due to no headlights or tailights being turned on while making his pass.
