1966 GTO drag racing 2011 Pontiac Nationals in Norwalk, OH Mike Green from 1AAuto.com
When he is not filming How To Videos you might find Mike Green behind the
wheel of his '66 GTO drag car. He does most of the work on the car himself
with the help of friends and family. These passes were filmed at the 2011
Pontiac Nationals at Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk Ohio. The air was
hot and humid when this was filmed so times were off. As of August 2011
best pass is 10.531 @ 126.03 mph.

132679 / 1969 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am
For more information on this vehicle visit http://tinyurl.com/dxlw9sn
As a documented car that's 1 of only 689 F1 Trans Ams produced, 1 of only
114 Ram Air III/turbo-Hydramatic 400
cars, and 1 of only 29 Ram Air III/turbo-Hydramatic 400 cars equipped with factory
air conditioning, this no excuses Pontiac is your next #1!
Okay, numbers aside, what's the status of this storied Pontiac? And more
importantly, how fresh is the car? Well, at the 2007 Pontiac-Oakland meet
in Tulsa, Oklahoma it walked away with a Gold Award in the Restored Class,
scoring 372 out of a possible 400 points. It's seen fewer than a hundred
miles of very careful road time since undergoing a world class restoration.
And overall, this is one very clean muscle car!
Under this Trans Am's sculpted steel hood you'll find a fully rebuilt motor
that starts quick, runs perfectly and produces the kind of confident roar
that old school Pontiacs are known for! The block itself displays a slick
coat of correct Turquoise paint from its intake all the way to its oil pan.
The car's fenders, firewall and hood are covered in a smooth coat of GM
satin black. Niceties such as fresh chrome valve covers, a correct AC
compressor, a reproduction Delco Energizer battery, a fresh brake Booster and a full set of decals can be found
in all the right places. And aesthetically, this F1's highly detailed
engine bay is 100% ready for show!
Behind that high revving motor, an original turbo-Hydramatic 3-speed sends power to an
original 10 bolt rear end that's equipped with a correct Safe-T-Track
differential and correct 3.23 gears. That solid drivetrain is centered on
the car's original double A-arm front and rear leaf spring suspension. At
the head of that suspension, factory power steering provides easy turns and
competent handling. At the corners of that suspension, standard power front
disc and rear drum brakes provide modern stopping power. And power meets
the pavement through original 14 inch GM Rally II wheels which spin
familiar Goodyear Polyglas F70-14 white letter tires around pristine
stainless trim rings and awesome "PMD" branded center caps.
Pop this Trans Am's solid white doors and you'll find a correct GM code 200
blue vinyl interior that's been brought back to life with a series of high
quality reproduction pieces. The plush bucket seats, which were rebuilt and
re-covered during the restoration, provide comfortably firm support and
display no fading or tears. Between those seats, a familiar F-Body console
still features its factory optioned 'wood' trim. At the front of the car, a
clean dash makes room for the speedometer as well the inclusive gas,
temperature, oil and generator gauges. And in front of the driver, a
familiar Sport steering wheel spins a wood rim and three satin finished
spokes around a vivid "PMD" branded horn button.
Even though it's incredibly well-sorted, this first generation Trans Am is
a true too-nice-to-drive car. Call, click or visit

1969 Pontiac Firebird 400 Convertible
My mother's water broke in a '68 Firebird Convertible. Great sounding car
and with a top to drop, it's probably a blast to own. A very sharp looking
car. I would've preferred the Firebird to the Camaro. What a shame Government
Motors killed such a unique design brand. Taken at Abingdon Lowe's 14
