Took my car to the track but only got one pass because the second pass I broke an axle on launch. This was at 15-16psi of Boost and just a quick little burnout to clean the tires off. After this run I turned the Boost up to ~20psi and did a better burnout. I was really hoping for a deep 13, so maybe next year I'll bring spare axles to the track... Overall I'm satisfied with the performance for this Boost level, but I really would have liked to have a clean pass at 20psi!

2015 Volvo XC90
After a series of three particularly handsome concept cars and even more
teasers and advanced details, we're finally looking at the new 2015 Volvo
XC90 here at its birthplace in Sweden. The big-production live reveal with

loyal following and is, after a period of stagnation, only growing. Because
the new XC90, you see, isn't just about the new XC90: it's as much about
the new generation of Volvos that will result.
Triple boost 450hp 2L engine by Volvo
Triple Boost Technology takes
Volvo’s four-cylinder Drive-E Powertrain petrol engine to 450hp
Further proof of Volvo’s commitment to delivering driving pleasure
Volvo delivers a unique combination of performance and efficiency with the
High Performance Drive-E Powertrain Concept – a triple Boost 2.0-litre 4-cylinder petrol engine with
no less than 450hp. Following the successful introduction of Volvo’s
Drive-E Powertrain range in 2013, Volvo’s powertrain team once again
demonstrates its technological leadership in emission-reducing turbo technology.

The 450hp High Performance Drive-E Powertrain Concept is based on a set of
technologies not usually found in a four-cylinder engine. The engine
utilises two parallel turbochargers,
which are fed by an electrically powered turbo-compressor. The compressed air from this
unit, rather than being fed to the cylinders, is instead used to spool up
the two parallel turbochargers. Fuel is
fed by a dual fuel pump working at 250 bar pressure. With this kind of
power density, this triple Boost
installation and unique fuel system, enables a very dynamic drivability
without any turbo lag, compared to a

2013 Audi S4 AWD vs 2013 Volvo S60 T6 AWD R-Design! - Head 2 Head Ep. 34
On this episode of Head 2 Head, Motor Trend's Jonny Lieberman pits the 2013
Volvo S60 T6 AWD R-Design against returning contender, the 2013 Audi S4.
Before hitting the road, the engine placements of both competing sedans are
compared against segment contemporaries such the Cadillac ATS & BMW's 335i.
Why? Because while both competitors are AWD, they start life as FWD. As a
result, both vehicles have unusual engine placements. A mix of limit
testing & canyon carving follows as Jonny provides insight on both cars,
examining everything from driving impressions to interior ergonomics. Does

All-New 2015 Volvo XC90 world premiere
Symbolising this historic day in Volvo’s 87 year history, the new XC90
will be the first of its cars to carry the company’s new more prominent
iron mark, which has the iconic arrow elegantly aligned with the diagonal
slash across the grille. Together with the T-shaped “Thor’s Hammer”
DRL lights, the iron mark introduces an entirely new, distinctive and
confident face for Volvo’s forthcoming generation of cars.
The XC90’s larger bonnet with its new topography, the beltline and the
sharpened shoulders connecting with the tattoo-like, new rear lights are
other important design signatures that will be mirrored across the range.
To add more visual muscle from the sides, the XC90 comes with a range of
wheel sizes up to 22 inches.
The top of the range XC90 Twin Engine, which combines a two-litre,
four-cylinder supercharged and turbocharged petrol engine with an electric motor,
offers an unrivalled combination of power and clean operation: around 400
carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions of around 60 g/km (NEDC driving cycle).
The XC90’s interior is the most luxurious to have been designed for a
Volvo. The most striking feature is a tablet-like touch screen control
console, which forms the heart of an all-new in-car control system. This
system is virtually button free and represents an entirely new way for
drivers to control their car and access a range of Internet-based products
and services. It also helps create an interior that is modern, spacious and
